LeBron James admitted he would love to play on an NBA team alongside Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade at the same time before his career is over.

James played four seasons with Wade and Chris Bosh as members of the Miami Heat.

"I really hope that, before our career is over, we can all play together," James said. "At least one, maybe one or two seasons—me, Melo, D-Wade, CP—we can get a year in. I would actually take a pay cut to do that."

James has been on a series of one-plus-one contracts with the Cavaliers. Wade will also be a free agent this offseason, while Paul will be eligible in 2017 with an early termination option and Anthony has an early termination option in 2018.

"It would be pretty cool," James said. "I've definitely had thoughts about it."

He's going to bring the NBA even more with these super teams. I hate the thought of it.

Guess who has a ton of cap space? I wonder if CP3 would like playing behind Lillard.

the sooner lebron retires, the happier I become.

Well it better be pretty soon because I am not sure how many years Wade has left. He will be 35 next season.

Trade Kyrie to the Clippers for Paul, Trade Love and Shumpert to NY for Anthony re-sign Lebron for 18mil and sign Wade as a FA

I would love to see them do that, but only after they are all too old to be effective at all. Like having four 2016 Kobe's.

barfo

I'm sure that the NBA would be happy to allow them to team up in an old-timers game once they retire.

Id love to see them do it and then watch them get knocked out in the first round, or maybe even not make the playoffs.... that would put an end to all this stuff and hopefully allow Portland more of a chance in the free agency market.

I really don't have a problem with it. It would actually be hilarious if he left the Cavs again without winning a title.

He would stay with the Cavs in this scenario. Like Schilly said.
How much cap space do we have? Make it happen Neil!

Would you really want to win that way if we won at all? Serious question. We'd probably have to give up CJ and Dame.

They could all just leave the NBA and play exclusively for team USA or they could be competition for the Globetrotters...that or nothing else!

I personally wouldn't want to win that way. It would be like one of those years where the Yankees buy every good player from the past season. I root against those types of teams. I would mentally put an asterisk by a championship won by any franchise under those circumstances. Also, imagine the douche fan boy band wagon fans that would bring in.

Im with King. Would you really want those guys for a rental ring?

Funny thing is they all did play for Team USA. Played and practiced for 6 months and won a gold, so Lebron kinda already did what he said he wants to do.

I would love to see it happen and then fail though... as long as its not the Blazers. lol.

I would want to see them fail for the same reason Prunetang would have an asterisk. Its not an even field of play for that season. Plus it would show the FA market that even if you try this it doesn't always work, and might help us sign the RIGHT FA's for this team. :)

Yes. Yes. Yes.

The bottom line is a championship in portland.

But, but....

So, I was single for a few years and ended up hooking up with this girl I really didn't care for, but needed to get some and all that you know? Got some for about 6 months. Then realized the relationship was no good. Always regretted it. I got the ring, but....

You don't think that as time passed you would feel guilty, or not like a true champ? I mean anyone can buy the fastest car with the right money, but does that really make you the best driver?

I don't know. A ring sure would be nice, but at what expense? I suppose it would matter alot on how the season played out. I have a feeling though, once a few games were lost, LBJ would go Cavs on the team and ruin any type of chemistry they might have had.

I dunno, Ive lost alot of respect for LBJ over the last year with his excuses for sitting out games, running the coach out of town but not taking ownership. He just seems too PR, when he really could be a standup guy. I love Cam Newton for this reason. The guy will say what he wants and how he feels without remorse, but LBJ thinks he needs to try to play the good guy all the time, and I think it actually hurts his P|R. I think he would have more respect if he took more of a stance, right or wrong. And with that said, I think the team would blow up in his face.
So no. I don't think I want it here.

We'll see... all signs point to him not being happy in Cleveland. Imagine the pants shitting if Lillard suddenly unfriended the Blazers on twitter.

I just don't care and don't see it being some big scary thing if it were to happen. Melo is a mental case. BronBron, Wade and CP3 are all old. I just think it would be funny no matter what happens. I'm not a K Love fan, it would be fun to see him get butt hurt being tossed out of Cleveland for Melo. But I'm hoping Lebron does leave again because the Comic Sans meltdown from the Cavs owner would be truly epic.

Here is a better analogy....

You spend most of your life doing fine with the ladies. Mostly hanging around being able to pull a 6 or 7. Every once and awhile you get a 4 because things didn't go your way, but that's ok, everyone goes through lows.

But then one day, it's your moment. A 10 needs the d, and you just so happen to be at the right place at the right time. At first, you do some small talk, getting to know her. You quickly tell she's very self absorbed and kind of a bitch.

You don't care. She's a ten. She wants the d. You give her that d and you give it to her good. You have dreams about giving her the d for the rest of your life. You don't remember her bitches attitude, you remember her banging body, and the best physical sex you ever had.

Who the he'll cares if she's a bitch. You bang that ten. It might be your only chance.

A championship is a 10. You take it when you can get it.

Team first. Put LBJ in a BLAZER uniform and you bet I would root for him.

Most NBA players are pure mercenaries. Why root for individual players when they don't give a crap about the team/community/fans?

Dude we haven't won a championship sense 1977 and your asking if we'd give up Dame & C.J for a championship? Again, you should never fall in love with players.
