OT LeBron James Would Like To Team Up With Carmelo, CP3, Wade Before Retiring (1 Viewer)

If that's honestly the way we have to build a team..... I done know. Check back with me in a few years if my health goes sour! But I dislike the fact that All Stars constantly jump ship to join perennial contenders. There just isn't that much talent to go around to begin with. Portland may not get the Durants or the Lebrons, but the players we have foster a unique relationship here. I prefer that Rip City familiarity to any "wham bam thank you mam" championship. In an ideal world, we'd be like the SF Giants or Leceister City, but this is the NBA.

Trade Kyrie to the Clippers for Paul, Trade Love and Shumpert to NY for Anthony re-sign Lebron for 18mil and sign Wade as a FA

I don't think there's any way you convince Anthony and Wade to live in Cleveland.

I could see this happening in New York or Miami though.

New York trades Porzingas for CP3, signs LeBron and Wade.

Miami trades Dragic for CP3, Justice Winslow for Melo, signs LeBron, and resigns Wade.

The Knicks idea seems like it would help those guys legacy the best. Knicks haven't won a title since '73. They have a loyal fanbase thats more simliar to battered housewives than remotely close to bandwagoners. So there wouldn't be the superteam rage as if he goes back to Miami or went to the Lakers or something.

These guys are all on the wrong side of 30 and all very ball dominant. Only two of them are decent defenders today and far past their peak on that side of the ball. 5 years ago this is a super team. But now? It wouldn't be the shoe in title many are painting a picture of. I'd certainly pick the Spurs or Warriors over any team with those 4. I could see the Thunder or some other young team even being the favorite against them.

If those 4 are in the East they have an easy path to the finals so that helps. It could be a fun team to root against. Having LeBron leave Cleveland again after 700 days would be quite a show. Some upstart sports channel such as FS1 or NBCSports should have a nonstop 'the inDecision 2.0' airing during all of this.

Here is a better analogy....

You spend most of your life doing fine with the ladies. Mostly hanging around being able to pull a 6 or 7. Every once and awhile you get a 4 because things didn't go your way, but that's ok, everyone goes through lows.

But then one day, it's your moment. A 10 needs the d, and you just so happen to be at the right place at the right time. At first, you do some small talk, getting to know her. You quickly tell she's very self absorbed and kind of a bitch.

You don't care. She's a ten. She wants the d. You give her that d and you give it to her good. You have dreams about giving her the d for the rest of your life. You don't remember her bitches attitude, you remember her banging body, and the best physical sex you ever had.

Who the he'll cares if she's a bitch. You bang that ten. It might be your only chance.

A championship is a 10. You take it when you can get it.
Nice reverse psychology! :)

I like it, but I think certain people are wired certain ways. IM just not that way. I wouldnt be able to give her the best dick ever because I wasnt into her.
Also, Once this girl leaves, there is nothing but a memory, but with the ring, the names of the champion stick around forever.

Dude we haven't won a championship sense 1977 and your asking if we'd give up Dame & C.J for a championship? Again, you should never fall in love with players.

I think he is saying that CJ and Dame, if paired with the right surrounding help, might bring a few rings to Portland, and so why trade that for a one year rental?

Im sooo on the fence about what to do. I sooo want to play this team out and allow them to show us their max potential, but so fearful they wont reach what we need and by then its almost too late because were already in the middle of Dames prime years...
Ugh....

I would hate this if it happened. I'd hate it more if they did it in Portland. We'd be the most hated team in the league. We'd be over run by pencil dicked fan boys. I'd stop being a Blazers fan. A championship under those circumstances would be un earned. It would be worth nothing and prove nothing. It would feel like shit. Like when the league and the refs gifted the championship to the Lakers in 2000 and 2002. Only worse. Fuck them. I don't want a single one of those douche bags on my team, let alone all of them at once. Fuck them. Again and again. Fuck them.

Not going happen Wade will never leave Miami and Anthony wife loves NY to much that won't happen. Now CP3 I could see him leaving LA for chance to win a ring and lebron your that spoil kid in the candy store when you get any candy.

Is this about LeBron's mom?

I'll be shocked if Melo doesn't leave NYC in the next two years. He'll end up in LA or Texas (DAL or HOU). BOS as a dark horse.

Melo's just about put out to pasture now.

I'll be surprised if he leaves. Could happen but would be surprising. You're only looking at this from a basketball perspective. Obviously his best chance to win a title is on another team.

He is more concerned with money, fame, wall street connections, business deals post playing days. NY is the best for all of that.

I think Wade is a heat for life, he wouldn't want to leave.

The only way I could see this happening is if all 4 of those players went to Chicago (which obviously is a very huge stretch to happen money-wise even if you sign some and trade for some).

Melo doesn't really care about winning and ball like that. He's made that pretty clear before so I agree with you. He's really more into his career after basketball I can see him just thinking to get basketball over with and starting his retirement life.

Why don't they just create a special "Super Friends" franchise that plays at the Honda Center in Anaheim. They can play some games at The Happiest Place On Earth™ on a giant basketball court parade float during pre-season.
