Lebron on Dame

More talking about whether or not we'd be able to keep Nurkic. If Lebron came over in a S/T starting at $35M (a figure I'm using simply because it's his salary next year if he were to exercise his player option), the 7 guaranteed contracts we'd have at that point (LBJ, Dame, ET, Mo, MyLe, ZCo, Biggie) would total about $107M, and we'd be hard capped at 129M. Factor in the $5M in dead cap salaries, and allocate the $850K rookie minimum for roster spots 8-13, and we'd be limited to a maximum of $11.5M starting salary for re-signing Nurkic. I don't think that would be enough to keep him.

Given the choice, would we want to deal CJ, Nurkic, Aminu, Shabazz, Davis, and a pick for Lebron? Because for him to S&T, that's essentially what we'd be doing. And if that were the case, would he really want to come here if we had to lose half our roster in the process?
Simple. You get rid of Harkless at least (NYK would take him for free), package a pick with Meyers, and throw in Aminu somewhere in the deal or to another team.

Why would we be hard capped at $129M?

The whole team except Turner (no one wants his contract), Leonard (because he'll be the abuse target of S2), Layman (who really wants him?) just for him. lol

I don’t think we have to give up CJ, if Lebron says he’s gone regardless, they probably take the poo poo platter of 1sts and whatever.

If he says he is gone, they dont want salary. They will be rebuilding and looking for picks.

Exactly. They'll take what they can get if he gives them the CP3.

if he says he is gone, and is just going to sign with someone, im sure they would rather have some assets back instead of nothing...

collins could be the casualty, are we ok with that?

No. Not okay with that. Ruins the long term picture.

I hear what you are saying but what good contracts do we have they would want I mean they wont be willing to take on ET type contracts.

Beta bitch!! get that shit right!

Bruh... We had one of these!!! I used to watch black and white pornos! :biglaugh:

I don't agree he would be the casualty but yes. I'm completely OK with that. And @Orion Bailey What in HELL are you talking about???

We'd have Lebron for at least 4 years...

I'd trade Zach in a heartbeat for 4 years straight of title runs.

LBJ is 32 now. How good will he be at 36 and 30 mill a year?

Sorry. That's what i'm talking about. ;)

Zach can be on this team for the next two decades. That's long term planning. Just sayin.
