Vander Blue
The Texas Legends have acquired guard Vander Blue from the Wisconsin Herd in exchange for Texas' 2019 NBA G League Draft 2nd round pick and the returning player rights to Damon Lynn. The trade is pending Blue's successful completion of a physical.
Blue (6-5, 200, Marquette) has appeared in 22 games with the Herd this season averaging 8.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.1 steals. The Wisconsin native has spent time in the G League the past six seasons earning Performer of the Week three times, Player of the Month, All G League 1st Team twice, NBA G League Showcase 1st Team, G League All Star Team three times, and G League MVP. Blue has earned two NBA Call-Ups to the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers and signed a two-way contract with the Lakers last season, seeing action in five games with Los Angeles.
Blue played three years at Marquette averaging 14.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.0 steal as a junior and leading the team to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.
