The Texas Legends (17-20), presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), fought through a close game to defeat the Reno Bighorns (13-22) 94-91.

The two teams kept the score tight for four quarters with the largest lead being 13 (Reno) in the third quarter. The Legends went into halftime down 45-54 and allowed Reno to increase the deficit to double digits early in the second half. Falling behind by 13 twice the Legends powered on and cut the difference to four going into the final period. Dwayne Jones hit two free throws with eight minutes in play to tie up the game for the seventh time of the night. From that point on the Legends took control and with 10 seconds left, Justin Dentmon drove in the final shot of the game to give the Legends the 3-point victory.

Dentmon led the Legends with 26 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Fred House posted a well-rounded game with 7 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals.

Reno's leading scorer was Samardo Samuels with the game's only double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds.

The Legends will hit the road next week travelling to Bakersfield to take on the Jam Tuesday, March 5th at 9pm. Fans can catch all the action live on the D-League's Youtube channel.
