6-3 combo guard who had the first quadruple double in NCAAB Men's Div 1 history.

Averages 25.7 pts at 46.4%, 3.8 threes at 38.8%, 7.8 rebounds (!), 4.5 assists, 2.8 steals, and 3.8 turnovers.

Plays in the (weak?) Ohio Valley Conference, but:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Some may wonder about the level of competition Hudson faces playing in the Ohio Valley Conference. To answer that, consider that he scored 35 points against Memphis, 27 against Mississippi State, 26 against UNLV, and 36 against Vanderbilt. He also had the NCAA?€™s first ever quadruple-double, with 25 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals against mighty Central Baptist College. Even more impressive is the fact that Hudson has done all this after sitting out all of last year and not having practiced with UT-Martin while he became NCAA eligible after failing to graduate from his Junior College. He then proceeded to drop 35 points on the best team in America in his first real basketball game. Usually there is an adjustment period that JUCO players need to go through before they are able to reach their full potential at the D-1 level. For Hudson, there was none.</div>

DX calls him a below average ball handler, but amazing scorer. Would you take him at 40?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>When asked, Hudson was able to produce a long list of team’s that had already contacted him in regards to individual workouts, including: Detroit, New Jersey, Denver, Portland, Seattle, Houston, Minnesota, Toronto, Cleveland, San Antonio, Memphis, Boston, Sacramento and Utah.</div>

Kid Chocolate just soiled his pants.

heh anybody who has potential at #40... isnt much of a gamble for the nets... so i dont see why not

I've liked him for awhile. Don't think he'll last until #40. If we got him or Shan Foster with our 2nd rounder I'd be happy. A good prospect combo guard that plays defense and worked his butt off to get into the NBA or the best pure shooter in the draft is a 2nd rounder well spent.

High scoring combo guard from a small school who is poised to shoot up the draft board.

Sounds a lot like Rodney Stuckey.

If he is available at 40 then why not. Is he a good 3 point shooter?

well i wouldnt mind takin him at 21 if his works out with us go great
i have faith in rod thorn

in rod i trust

I trust my rod in the clutch.

What about this crazy idea....
Trade Marcus Williams for Twolves 31st pick.
Then use 31st pick to take him.

I know, i know it sounds ludicrous.
WT.

Wow, where did you get that completely original idea from?

I agree with Claud. I think it's ludicrous. Shame on you, Yinka

edit: also KC

Here's a better idea. Trade Marcus Williams to get the 32nd pick, and draft Lester Hudson

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Kid Chocolate @ May 18 2008, 10:37 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I'd trade Marcus to Minny for one of those 2nd round picks. That 31st pick is VERY valuable.</div>

dum dum dum dum duuuuuuuum.
That's why I'm a Nets beat writer.

Lol my bad Yinka & GM & KC

Anyway.. I have never seen this kid play... but is there a chance he is available around 30-35? JW.

Maybe at #21 if CDR is gone. If he's there at #40 he better be a Net.

i havent seen him play either... but from his numbers vs notable teams hes gotta be able to put the ball in the basket

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Kid Chocolate @ May 19 2008, 10:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>A lot is going to depend on how tall he actually measures at.</div>

It appears he is going to be between 6"1 and 6'2" with the ridiculous 6'9" wingspan. That's crazy. More ludicrous than Rondo.

No wonder he can't handle the ball. His palms are only six inches off the floor.

I like what im reading. He sounds like a sleeper to me.. gotta keep an eye on him.

According to this article, the Blazers have also called him. The Blazers have the 33rd pick, 36th pick, and plenty of assets to get another 1st round pick if we decide we really want him and feel that he won't last to the 2nd round. If the Nets want him, they might need to take him at 21.

I'd rather draft CDR at 21st. That just me.

why not? it'll be funny to see lester hudson and angry little man nate robinson go at it 4x a year at least...

more important than his stats though is his attitude...everyone seems to say he is a fierce competitor...
