I neither underestimate or overestimate. This is not a title contending team ... yet. Talk to me in a year and a half and I'll probably have a different answer for you.

It absolutely is. We'll be much better at the end of the season than we are now.

they are going to start the season 6-12. that wasn't underestimating them?

Pritchard has to be more of a GM/Boss and a little less of a buddy.

During the Devin Harris to Portland rumors, it was reported that KP was hesitant. Why? Because he wants to see the cake bake. Fucking idiot.

I doubt we really had a shot at Harris since the Mavs really needed a PG that they thought would get them over the hump.

It's clear we need better PG play to get interior players involved. Now that Billups is gone, we are stuck with options like Kirk, Felton and Conley. Not Amazing players, but I'll take any of them if they can pass the rock inside.

I assume you're not referring to me. But, if you're going to call someone that, quote them so we
know who you're talking about. Did it occur to you that the fucking idiot is too much of a fucking
idiot to know you're calling them a fucking idiot

This team is not ready to contend - but they are also not playing to their potential at this point and the elephant in the room is that we are expecting too much from Roy and we are even more likely to shoot the 3 this year than we did last year - because last year we had 2 players who could attack the rim and finish (or get fouled) and this year - we have only one.

It is time to accept that we need to attack the rim more - and the answer is that it might be a good time to let Bayless get more time at the expense of Sergio or Batum (with Roy moving to the 3).

I said there was a good chance, I didn't say stupid shit like "book it." I still think that was a reasonable prediction based on how road heavy and the number of "elite teams" the schedule threw at us.

Jesus tits on toast, you'd think I was MIXUM with the way some people are reacting to me saying that this team is not a title contender this year; they do not have enough experience nor play good enough defense to be considered a serious threat to get to the finals and win. This is not to say that I think they're a bad team, in fact I think they are a very good team -- probably good enough to win 50-54 games, but it would take a flat out miracle run through the playoffs without home court advantage throughout the post season for this team to take the Lakers/Boston/Cleveland in a seven game series. That's just the way it is and that should be OK.

How do you know he's not looking to deal right now? The fact is, that none of us haved insider information about what kinds of conversations he's having with other GMs. Frankly I think it's smart to wait until a little closer to the deadline as more teams are likely going to have a better picture of whether or not they have a legitimate playoff run in them and might be a little more convinced that they are ready to blow their team up.

January/February holds more promise than early December IMO.

I know what he said and he said he wasn't looking for a deal, if someone offered one he'd listen, but he wanted to let the cake bake. Of course he might have been blowing smoke.

Also he never said how long he was going to let the cake bake, he might have already seen enough and decide to make a deal. But first there has to be someone he wants that he can get for what he's willing to offer. That might not be there right now. Most likely if we make a trade it'll be near the trading deadline, but that's just my opinion.
