Let's play the "whom should we have picked instead of Zach Collins" game

Collins was who I wanted that was attainable. My main guy I liked in this draft was Tatum. I thought Ainge was a genius for trading down and getting Tatum for more assets. I've also been a very big Dennis Smith fan. Teams who drafted all these guards ahead of him are going to regret it.
I said before the draft that Tatum will be the best player out of this draft.

So you went through and cherry picked guys that had good showings in Summer League?:biglaugh:

Cause I don't remember you talking about any of those guys prior to the draft.
I liked Mitchell and Bam. Kennard is the guy who has impressed me, I'm surprised how smooth his game is, he has a little Roy to him.

Is this on record?
I liked Bam in the tourney for sure, thought he would've been a good player at 26 (this was around tournament time). There is probably a post out there somewhere, Mitchell was a guy I like more getting near to the draft but I didn't think he was a real target for us.

Mitchell for sure. After the passing on CP3 and Deron because we had Telfair in 2005, I've never believed in passing on the superior player because they play the same position as another starter.

I actually think it's too soon to tell, as do most of you, probably. But I'm sure that won't stop people from having opinions. So, what player picked after #10 do you think will be better than Collins?
Swanigan :)

Let's stop acting like Summer League is some big measuring stick, please???
This thread doesn't have to be about summer league. I'm sure some posters had other preferences at the time of the draft

We should have drafted the best defensive Post and rim protector we could get... ohh yeah we did.

The Blazers should've drafted the grass is greener.

I wanted us to draft Bell as well. Where he was picked we could have found a way to get him. I have a feeling he'll be a pain in our ass for years.

He was the one Ducks player who I think will be a solid NBA contributor.

Semi is going to be better than Bell because he can shoot and Boston is already impressed with his D and multi position guarding, I really wanted to pick up a 2nd rdr to get him as I did with Bolden, one or both of these guys will end up being a lot better than many of the guys drafted in the 1st rd. I am fine with Caleb, I think a Caleb and Semi draft would have been pretty awesome with Collings as a project

Can't believe we didn't find a way to get him. Elite defender that can guard multiple positions.

time will tell, but I am one of the few that is not high on him., I think he is a tweener that will find it difficult in the regular season NBA. He doesnt have the shooting skills f DGreen... one of the few tweeners that can make it in the NBA.

Who was it at my place screaming that we didn't draft Bell.

Was that You @Fonzthecpt1 Pretty sure. lol.
What are your thoughts now. Bell or Swannigan?

But did he defend?

Haha. No. He's Llama fleece soft:
