Now that we know the Sacramento kings will relocate to Seattle does that mean the Lakers hatred might die off a bit?

L*ker hatred is a moral imperative, and is not subject to conditional modifiers. Now that we know the Sacramento kings will relocate to Seattle does that mean the Lakers hatred might die off a bit?
Sure it was. If you haven't hated the L*kers your whole life, you're not a true Blazers fan.Lakers rivalry wasn't as big when the Sonics where here in Oregon. I'm just asking if the new Seattle team may take some of that away.

The laker hatred was greatest in the late 90's early 00, when both teams were relevant. Nothing will quell that spirit.
However, I never got the feeling the rivalry was as strong on their end. But there has need great two-way rivalries between the blazers and sonics, and especially blazers and Jazz. But until the Blazers are recant again, it's just one-way-hate. Like the wolves fans thinking there is some rivalry. They just don't matter enough for there to be a real rivalry. For a rivalry to exist, two teams both need to at least be playoff teams

Apparently you don't remember 1991.
No true Blazer fan would even pose this question.
If you look at it from the Lakers' perspective, the Blazers are kind of just another team to them at this point. 6 or 7 other teams in the west can claim the same 'rivalry' with LAL, and it happens when those teams are competing with the Lakers at a high level.
LA fans don't view a Portland 'rivalry' the same way our fanbase views it.

I actually know a lot of LA fans and Portland is in their top 4-5 most hated teams on a regular basis. When a player of Kobe's stature continually talks about, and feels haunted by, his struggles against Portland (especially in Portland), that says something.
did anyone else smile a bit reading that last sentence?
God I love beating the Lakers in Portland.

The Lakers are at the top of the Blazer fans' list of hated rivals, though. That was kind of my point. Not that it isn't a rivalry, but that it means more to Portland fans simply because of the amount of hatred we have toward them.
exactly!
And no real, knowledgeable Blazer fan would say that the Sonics were more hated.
I don't think Portland fans celebrated the Sonics leaving Seattle, or them losing in the finals. However, if you ask Blazer fans, TRUE Blazer fans, which they would rather see
The Lakers losing in the finals or the Sonics losing, they'd say Lakers.
The Lakers leaving LA or the Sonics leaving Seattle, they'd say Lakers leaving LA.
The Lakers. Always hate the Lakers more.
I'm actually excited for Sonic fans and the city of Seattle for the potential return of the Sonics. I could never, would never, WILL never be excited for the Lakers, the Lakers fans, or the franchise as a whole, whenever ANYTHING happens to them.
this question....seriously....
You might have some what of a point although I'm excited to build a rivalry with the Seattle fans again. God is right when he said that the Blazers\Lakers rivalry was more of a one way hate and inside the Lakers fan base the Blazers are just another team. I think the Lakers hatred comes more from the Hollywood stars, big lights and big city atmosphere that they have.
