Well, I'd be saying the same thing Redneck said, but...-"Reaganomics"-Cut income taxes-Economy was booming-Installed optimism and pride in America which was really needed at the time.- Brought a peaceful end to the cold war.-Many other things which I can't remember. And like I said, you are acting like Reagan was the worst president ever. Apparently, not many agree with you.In a CSPAN poll, he came in 6th.ABC- 5thQuinnipiac University of last 61 years- 1stWashington College- 2ndGallup- 2ndLet me say that I agree that FDR is one of the greatest presidents. I also think Reagan is too. I don't understand what is so hard to understand about that.

I don't think he was one of the BEST EVER, but yeah, I'll agree he's far from the worst.

well, George Bush has a message for you Mardy

Reagan really helped end the cold war, at the time and the 40 years preceeding, the cold war was the number one issue of debate and concern for Americans. Reagan ended the war without firing a shot, which was something previously thought impossible. many military strategens(sp?) concidered the end to the cold war would be a full blown world war. Regan also modernized the US military. the neat sh*t you see today all started in the reagan years. The Reagan administration also helped incourage the growth of new industries, such as the technologies which would eventually lead to the tech boom of the 1990s. On the home front Reagans polocies helped pull this country out of a recession, gas prices fell, I believe inflation actually dropped for a while as well. His foriegn polocies; he negotialted the SALT treaties with the Soviets which cut the Nuclear, Chemicle, and Biological weapons of both superpowers by nearly half. he helped open better relations with France which had been hurt since the Suez incident.Dwight Eisenhower was another good president, and I was looking at some historical rankings of presidents and he actually has a higher ranking than any president since FDR. These rankings were done by presidential historians, so they're not just BS off the street. thats one reason I hate polls taken by the media. the average american has their head so far up their ass its rediculas, I think Jay Leno has proved time and again with his Jaywalking segments that a good majority of Americans are retarded.

Al GoreHilary ClintonBill ClintonJohn EdwardsObama HusseinJohn Kerry those names make me sick to my stomach....especially John Kerry, I have absolutely zero respect for that guy after all he said about our troops raping women in Vietnam, when my Uncle was over there for 3 years and he has the nerve to say that.

So now your even.

for once Mardy you're dead one. John Kerry doesn't respect the common man, or atleast thats the way he comes off. Kerry comes off as some rich bi*ch who thinks he's holier than tho, one thing which has helped Bush is that he comes off as just a common guy; which might be because he comes off as a complete jackass, something most americans can relate too. Bill Clinton also came off a lot like that, which is one reason he became so popular.

Jon Kerry was a complete joke, and the democrats even realized that in the election. and Mardy obviously you have no political sense of any sort.

Bush has atleast tried to help the common people, of corse like everything else he's done he just never thought it out and it's become a burden. He did give us tax breaks, which I really really like. the NCLBA was good intentions but its turned out to be a flaming pile of sh*t.

Ron Reagan put America $2.6 trillion in debt, he was all about helping big business in any way possible and throwing the little man under the bus. During his Presidency he had a 57% approval rating, and ask my dad, he says too many people got suckered in because he was such a smooth talker. He's not a top 10 President, ugh...

lol you want FDR flaws? He was a drunk, probably the most alcoholic president since US Grant. FDR also signed into law a bill which imprisioned all Japanese Americans into a concintration camp, the government also caesed all their property and they rarely got it back. He forced the media to only portray the war in a good light, and limited what could be said. His administration also planted spies into american groups such as the Knights brotherhood, American Socialist party, American Communist party, the Republican party, and he imprisioned 40,000 American Nazi's and American-Germans into camps similar to those of the japanese. FDR spent millions on programs which didn't work, or weren't needed. some of his programs did work, but for every one the succeeded three failed. He ordered the bombing of Civilians in Dresden, Tokyo, Naples, and Tripoli, and he is really the one who decided to Use the atom bomb, Truman basically went along with what FDR said.

Smooth talking isn't a flaw for him, but too many people during his terms got suckered in by him.

I knew Churchill was but not FDR...and you can point out that FDR had an affair.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>In the winter of 1913, finding society's expectations of a wife of an assistant secretary of the Navy difficult to live up to, Eleanor hired part-time social secretary Lucy Mercer. Shortly after she joined the Roosevelt household in the Georgetown area of Washington DC, Lucy and FDR became lovers, but it wasn't until 1918 that Eleanor found out about the affair, by discovering love letters from Lucy in Roosevelt's suitcase. Confronting him, Eleanor offered to divorce him, but her mother-in-law Sara, who was providing much of the couple's income, would have none of it. Instead it was agreed that the Roosevelts' marriage would be in name only ? there would be no more sexual relations ? and that Sara would provide Eleanor with a separate home at Hyde Park.</div> http://www.channel4.com/history/microsites...ords1roose.html

Almost all presidents have had an affair, except maybe W, and Reagan. W is to stupid and Reagan didn't have the luxary of Viagra, plus he probably didn't know what to do with it. It's said that FDR may have been addicted to pain killers too, but thats understandible with his polio. also, his wife was a Lesbian.
