Why is the board of education good? As it's gotten bigger, education has gotten worse.

There's $2T+ in corporate savings accounts overseas. Bring that money back here by lowering the tax the companies would owe and there'd be $2T of new investment without spending $.01 of taxpayer money.

Basically Johnson wants to tax you if you buy a yacht or airplane or Ferrari like most countries do. Taiwan has a heavy tax on imports..a Fender Strat made in the USA cost thousands in Taipei...hundreds in the states. The TPP will open up a lot of Canadian-US collaborations and jump start trade balance in the Pacific. I wouldn't compare Johnsons policy targets to anything Bush did. Vote for Stein...I don't have a big problem with her...I'm voting Johnson. I like enough of his platform to see that he's the obvious better choice....not that the choices are hard to make.

The board at my local school couldn't get anything done in the 16 years I worked there....couldn't attract talent or agree on the simplest topics up for discussion. Not a lot of folks buy yachts that can't afford a luxury tax. Building a commercial tug or fishing boat might be the way to go...build boats for the middle class and you might rejuvenate the industry..if we could just have a middle class again. The point was rather than an income tax..a consumer tax would bring some parity to the ability for most working folks to be able to buy a boat...and Johnson also gives a break to anything made in America...so don't buy a Ferrari...buy an American car and you get a break.

The FAIR tax doesn't cut taxes. It institutes a consumption (sales) tax of 23% in place of the income tax, along with tax rebates that make it a progressive tax (i.e. rich pay higher rate).

You clearly haven't done the research.

Corporate tax revenues under W were on the rise until the financial system crashed. BTW, both McCain and Bush proposed additional regulations on banks that would have prevented the crisis but the Democrats obstructed those bills.

As far as corporate tax rates, the US at 39.1% is the 3rd highest in the world. No wonder companies want to do business from outside the US.
