Can't argue with you on this. Good seeing you during the playoffs when you dropped by. Wish I had more time to visit.

This begs the question, even though Dame's salary skyrockets in 21/22 his salary for this upcoming season was only projected to be 2 million more than CJ's because Dame is a max player and his salary is a percent of the cap and not fixed does this mean he will make only as much or even less than CJ? If so I think Neil has to trade CJ on pure principle.

is CJ's extension not on a percentage of cap as well? might be forgetting.

No. The contracts are 'locked in' when they are signed with the exception of the MAX contracts. MAX contracts are locked in on the first year of the contract. Therefore - Dame will still make ~$2M more than CJ this season.

Nope. CJ's is less than MAX, so it is entirely negotiated. The only way it alters is that the cap number reduces enough where his first year salary exceeds the MAX contract amount.

Well damn I guess we won't have to trade CJ just on principle which is really the only way I could come up with that we could get Olshey to do it.
