I'd never seen a close-up of Lillard's left arm until I saw this picture. It's a quote from Psalms 37:1-6, which reads as follows in the King James version:

"Fret not thyself because of evildoers,
Neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
So shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord;
And he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the Lord;
Trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,
And thy judgment as the noonday."

So, does that mean King James is coming to the Blazers? :MARIS61:

That was one of the first things I checked out when we drafted him.

Ooops! The tattoo artist got it wrong. It's Psalms 37:1-6, not 37:1-3.

A few other Athletes have quotes from the Bible on their body as well. Not unusual and its fairly cool imo.

King James version: while you read the tattoo, I'm going to dunk on you.

"And wither as the green herb" must have a very different meaning in the NBA.

:MARIS61:

Leviticus 19:28 - Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I [am] the LORD.

I don't like tattoos or bible quotes, but I don't know if I've ever seen that many words tattooed on someones arm and that takes dedication.

I have three tattoos on my arm.
