According to Casey Holdahl:

@Dame_Lillard confirmed that he would not be participating in the Skills Competiton at all-star weekend

I wonder if he's going to do the 3 pt. I read that belinelli is going to defend, but idk if they are going to have 6 or 8 like last year.

I think he should defend his title. Seems like sulking.

NAH, IF THEY DON'T WANT HIM THERE, HE NOT GONNA BE THERE.

1. 2. 3. CANCUN.

I'm betting that a week in Hawaii sounds better than doing a skills competition in New York.

If he is sulking and trying to play the "Spite" card, it will backfire if he makes any indication of it. If he is sulking he should take the high road, go defend his title and still hang out with the all stars AND SUPPORT HIS OTHER TWO TEAMMATES!!!!

If he is not participating so he can truly get rest, then that really is the best thing and he should say so so rumors aren't spread. He is still young treading a fine line right now with popularity. Don't wanna go the whiny bitch who was left out road, that's for sure.

I'm glad he's not in it. He has nothing left to prove (in the competition). He's won it twice.

The NBA could and should force him to show up and defend his skills title. If your injured Dame man up and let someone know if not stop sulking you had a bad month and were over looked for an all star bid in a stacked position because of it.

Sorry meese, this is maybe the worst idea in a world of bad ideas..Rest the dude! He's got nothing to prove. Don't see any logic in your statement. Man up and heal is more like it. You do know he's had injured fingers for a month and just got one splint removed of the two? Not exactly the formula for a skills competition

The only thing lamer than snubbing him would be forcing him to fly to New York just to do the Skills Competition.

That would be hilarious. The on-court equivalent of "Both teams played hard"/"I'm just here so I won't get fined".
