This has knee injury written all over it.

Yep. Why should he do something he enjoyed doing as a kid. :MARIS61:

Because he's a professional basketball player who is paid millions of dollars and it's part of his job to avoid activities that could prevent him from playing basketball. There's too much at stake. Like Jay Williams and Monta Ellis riding motorcycles. It's irresponsible.

In 2007, nearly half of the total amount fined to players ($1,027,00) came from a single $500,000 fine dished out to Vladimir Radmanovic, the largest fine ever dealt to a player. Why such a large fine? For snowboarding, of course. Radmanovic separated his shoulder while snowboarding, which was a direct violation of his contract with the Lakers. Players are required to keep themselves safe and healthy during the off-season and All-Star Break. Getting injured while participating in a potentially dangerous activity like snowboarding is a no-no.

If he wears a helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads, and wraps himself in bubble wrap I'm fine with it.

I'd rather him stay at home and play Dance Dance Revolution.

Players shouldn't play pick up ball in the summer. It's irresponsible.

"Kevin Durant will win Rucker League scoring titles, not championships"

That's different. That is what they are paid to do. To get better at basketball. Extracurricular activities like Dance Dance Revolution and Rollerskating should not be allowed. After he retires. He can rollerskate all he wants.

They get paid to play in pick-up games during the summer?

Lynn Swann learned ballet in his offseasons. Had he twisted an ankle...
