Four points through three quarters? 0 for 6 on threes? 2 of 11 from the field? Two turnovers to start the 4th quarter? What the hell, Damian? You played better than this your rookie year. Hell, you played better than this in your very first NBA game.

it ain't confidence. he's missing shots that he has never missed.

remains to be seen if this is cuz he's injured.

Is this team better without him?

Seems like he must be injured or something. Probably better he goes, sits out, gets his body and mind right then comes back. I don't know if he has the ability to do that with his ego though.

Why is he even playing?

These injuries won’t go away by playing through it - this will linger if they don’t correct it.

...maybe this all just "karma" getting him back for all the nonsensical drama and shit stirring he allegedly got involved with this summer :dunno:

I don't know about his confidence. But his core strength seems to be failing him. Case in point: Dame's airball 3 in the first quarter. Dame's core strength has always been a super power. Not tonight.

He says he’s not.
After last game, he said the core injury flared up again. Regardless, he doesn't need to say he's hurt. Its fairly apparent that he is hurt. All of his jumpers are coming up short and he can't blow by anybody right now.

Dame has never been one to use injury as an excuse.

His first NBA game was one of the best of his career. 23/11 and a win over Lakers.

Honestly, Simons should’ve been in there at the end instead of Dame.

My God your posts are obnoxious.

Ok. But my history says this. I been told ya. Dame is still a legend. Damn near statue worthy.

but I told ya already, his style is feast or famine. Too incredibly streaky. But I’m glad ya see this now. Now he’s a little older ya see the downside but it’s all good

200w.gif Don't worry. We could be 0-9. Dame will clear his mind, adjust and sharpen his skills along the way.

The one thing that is certain is that his "Confidence" is Not Shot.
He will never be a guy that crumbles to confidence issues. He is not a mental midget. Actually just the opposite. He feels he can still contribute on the court instead of getting off the court and getting healthy.

Before last night's game: they were 4 points better over the season when he's on the court:

Interesting that the much-maligned Nurk easily leads here. (Also: Smith is +5 in 214 fewer minutes...)
EDIT: updated to include last night's game:

I don't quite understand why Cody's numbers are so bad. Every time I see him he seems to be doing something useful (usually while getting hurt), but he's got the worst +/- on the team. And contrast it with Nance, who plays a lot alongside him...
