I just listened to The Game and we passed on him to keep the spot open.

Roller coaster!

Haha.

Wow. Guess the hoospworld link was wrong. Well isn't there a 4 p.m. press conference today by the Blazers? What is that all about then. You dont hold press conferences to announce that you are not signing someone.

Oh man! Just when we were discussing how it was going to mess up the PG rotation and everything.

I guess Sergio still has a chance to pick up garbage minutes.

Gramps...

Regardless, I think the longterm plan would be Bayless starts, Blake to the 2nd unit and Roy gets the rest. Sergio really has no future here IMO.

This is what I get for riding the bleeding edge of information on the interwebs.

Lol @ Hoopsworld making Livingston being 'signed' a front page story

They passed him up to instead sign Shavlik Randolph:

During Wednesday's media day at the Rose Garden, Trail Blazers General Manager Kevin Pritchard said the team will not sign Shaun Livingston. It is believed that Shavlik Randolph will sign a non-guaranteed contract, with the opportunity to battle for the remaining roster spot (along with Steven Hill, Luke Jackson and Jamaal Tatum).

Check Jason Quick's Behind the Blazers Beat later for more details.

I'll have videos of president Larry Miller, general manager Kevin Pritchard and head coach Nate McMillan from media day shortly.

Not a big fan of Randolph over Livingston, but I guess it's not as if it is likely to matter. Livingston was always an extreme long-shot to become a good player.

Would have been an exciting gamble nevertheless.

I thought Livingston was worth the risk. Even if he doesn't have the lateral quickness to play the point, his high basketball IQ and court vision would have been useful at the three.

Shavlek Randolph?! If that's the type of player he's looking for, Bring over Joel Freeland.

Maybe Nate felt he owed Coach K a favor!

I feel bad for Shaun. His MRI must have been pretty atrocious for KP to sign Shavlik Randolph over him.
