yeah, how'd that lotto work out for OKC?
That's rich. Lets take a look at everyone's Player Efficiency rating:
Lamarcus Aldridge - 19.70
David Lee - 19.65
Zach Randolph - 19.12
Not to mention:
Lamarcus Aldridge (2009-10) - 18.30
Lamarcus Aldridge (2008-09) - 19.13
Lamarcus Aldridge (2007-08) - 18.32
Lamarcus Aldridge (2006-07) - 17.17
So it's not the least efficient of his career, and regardless he's still more efficient than those other 2 PF's who made it.
Ugh
PER measures more than just offense, which is clearly what Herbert is talking about there. Aldridge just edges them out because of blks and stls, which obviously aren't offensive statistics.
He said efficient, PER is player efficiency rating... pretty straightforward.
Shooting long jumpers more frequently and less accurately, Aldridge is making just 46.8 percent of his field goal attempts.

This has nothing to do with Aldridge
It's more of my lack of logic
This has nothing to do with Aldridge
It's more of my war of the use of advanced statistics
A war on math?
And the context
How advanced statistics are misused all the time
Regardless of who got snubbed, one thing to keep in mind is that in the past five years, 13 players have been named as injury replacements. In fact, last year was the only one of those five seasons where only one player was replaced. Odds are, someone's going to go down (or fake an injury for the rest), and with dinosaurs like Garnett and Duncan playing in the game, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Steph Curry and Brook Lopez both playing in the All-Star game none the less.
I'll be interested to see what they do if one of the big men out West goes down though. Do they give the nod to Curry, even though he's a guard, or do they go with the next best big man in line, like Gasol, Jefferson, or Ibaka?
any idea when the rookie sophomore game (whatever it's called now) will be announced?

Yeah Aldridge didn't deserve to go in dumb ass writers. He is only second among pf for win share, second in point per game and is now averaging almost 9 boards a game.
I think if a person goes down they are going to be replaced with either Curry or Gasol depending on if its a big or a small.
I don't think they consider positions when they name replacements though. Brandon Roy was replaced by Chris Kaman.
It seems like with all of the backlash the coach's have been getting for leaving Curry off, if there's only one injury out West, that spot has Steph Curry's name on it, and same can be said with Brook Lopez in the East.
I don't think Gasol will make it unless there are two injured Western players, regardless of position.
Harrison Barnes does it again. If you're a 7'0 euro and you see him coming at you full steam ahead just get the fuck out of the way.
(EDIT: I feel like a dumbass here, but why the hell can't I get the vid to show up directly in the post with the video tags?)
