LMA out 1 week, Leonard out 2 to 3 weeks

Blazers have plus-6.6 net rating with LaMarcus Aldridge on court and minus-8.3 with him off court

Where is the Billy Ray Bates type that will come out of the D-League and put up 18 points a game and personally go on a one man rampage against the Lakers in LA?

:matrix:

What the fuck? Is this real? Why did Aldridge playin All Star game if he is hurt? Cousins would've gladly taken his spot. What the fuckimg fuck? No Aldridge, Freeland, or Leonard? How the fuck does that work??

THis is the easy part of out schedule. If we don't take these games, we could fall to 8th seed or even out of playoffs. Another crappy season. We won't win games without Aldridge. Won't happen. He's way too valuable to everything we do.

Well KS, I can say I'm right there with you mentally on this one. Why is LA playing in the all star game and what the hell are the Blazers going to do with Aldridge, Freeland and Meyers out?

Calling out to Omer Asik?

You're in San Diego, right? I'll call Denny and see if he can come over and remove all the sharp objects from your house.

This will be the first game this season we haven't used the same starting five.

Injuries suck but we've been pretty lucky, no need to freak out. We're talking weeks, not out for the season.

Watch us wind up with the fucking 7 seed just like Aldridge predicted.

Are we making a run after that draft pick after all?

It's embarrassing to start the season 31-9 and then barely make the playoffs.

We'll make the team wear bags over their heads when we're kicking the Spurs ass.

ANd by the way, Spurs have their own injury issues and may fall to 5th seed very soon. We won't be seeing them in the first round if we're the 7th seed. We will be facing Houston who owns us.

Re: Aldridge out a week with groin pull

Good call. He will put up numbers. The one game he got real minutes because Aldridge got in foul trouble at home vs Phoenix, he put up 15/9.

It's one week for LA. We won't miss Leonard. So we need to get through the next week. Let's assume it means getting through the Brooklyn game, which is 8 days from now. Here's the schedule:

Wed, Feb 19: San Antonio
Fri, Feb 21: Utah
Sun, Feb 23: Minnesota
Tue, Feb 25: @ Denver
Wed, Feb 26: Brooklyn

Parker is injured
Utah is the worst team in the league
Minnesota isn't bad, but they're beatable here at home
Denver sucks and is a team in turmoil
Brooklyn is old and broken

If we consider ourselves a playoff team, then we need to win without a key player. We did it all the time when we were the Frail Blazers; we can do it now.

With Freeland out too, Yes, we will miss Leonard. Our only available bigs are Lopez and Robinson. Period. That's it. We were 100% when we played Minnesota who was missing Love, Pek, and Martin and we barely won. How can we beat good teams without Freeland, Aldridge, and Leonard? What happens if Lopez gets in foul trouble? I love your optimism and I will hope Lillard can put the team on his back and carry us but we obviously need to sign someone with Leonard out.

That's it. Parker is out. We can beat the Spurs without him.

I knew that. I said the Spurs had injury issues. I even posted the news about Parker in another thread. Duncan will probably sit out tomorrow too (2nd of back to back) but Spurs are good at winning through injuries. Our backup PF is Claver and our backup C is no one.
