LaMichael James is again the national rushing leader at 151.57 yards per game.

He avg more yards alone than teams like BYU, USC, N. Car, Cal, ASU, and countless others avg as a team per game.

OSU avg just over 90 ypg rushing.

Isnt total yards looked at more highly then YPG? Ronnie Hillman is the "National Rushing Leader".
If LaMichael hadnt missed those games, he'd without a doubt be #1.

Yah, I think total yards is pretty much the measuring stick for most awards and 'bragging rights'.

YPG is a good place to see how productive a player like LMJ is, having missed a few games.

Thanks for the link.

He's not that many yards out of #1 - so it's possible with some good games, he could do well. Lots of Polk and Richardson Heisman talk and if the Ducks can take care of business vs Luck and co. - never know. LMJ could be back in the hunt!

Had he not missed those games, he'd for sure be mentioned more in the heisman hunt. And the fact that the Ducks have so many weapons that take away TD's and carries from LMJ hurts also.
