It is good to vent. No problem with that. Of course we all want to win. Badly. So does fans of 26 other teams out there who aren't winning lately.
 
This thread seems to be going in two directions, but I'll chime in on the local media. They seem really sensitive when anyone brings up even the idea of a trade. It's weird. Like why do they care so much? Probably has something to do with the leash Olshey has them all on.

Welcome to the boards, Im totally with you on this one. I really like Dame but we need players that are better than him if we want to win a title any time soon.

Its ok having ppl that cant have respectful conversations. I have said " I Like Dame" I just think CJ is better

I would say he is top 20 player but not top 10. That puts him as great 2nd option in my book. Plus you have consider a team like GS who gobbles up 4 top 30 players so top 2 options aren't easy for every team to come by.

So you think kyrie is better than dame?
 
I believe Dame needs to be Chris Paul type point guard. Paul is the leader of the team he also he gets everyone involve. Sometimes Dame don't get everyone involve especially the 4th QT it like he trying to win it himself and CJ sometimes is the same way. Dame can be the number 1 guy but the 2nd or 3rd option on the offense. But right now we need a 3rd scorer to go with CJ and Dame. This guy can be the 1st or 2nd option in the offense. I always believe if you run the offense the right way your still going to get your scoring chances with better looks. But when you force it things usually don't turn out very positive.

I'm not sure how you're coming to that conclusion. Dame is a better leader, scorer, rebounder, and passer. They both are bad perimeter defenders, but dame is a better post defender.

Kyrie has better handles, and he's probably a better 3pt shooter. But he's having a career year at only 23 ppg this year. And he only averages 5 assists.

Kyrie is also always injured. He's great, but I think if you swapped the two players, regardless of the team around them, Dame is better.
 
If Dame was in Cleveland, he'd probably have two rings right now.

I don't understand the nature of your complaint (or the title of this thread).

Who, exactly, in the local media is ignoring you, and how, specifically, are they ignoring you? Do they no longer retweet your tweets? Do they not return your phone calls? Did they unfriend you on Facebook? Are you no longer invited to Taco Tuesdays at Canzano's?

It's the local media's job to cover the team. It's not their job to cover you. So, I guess I just don't understand your beef with the local media.

You have an opinion about Dame, and sharing it here will get you much more of a response, both positive and negative, than anyone in the local media will give you. That's the function of a discussion board. That's why they exist. As I said, it's the local media's job to cover the team. Do you really expect the next Behind the Locker Room Door segment by Jason Quick to include quotes from that Blazer_Steve guy?

So, come here and share your opinions. This is where fans hang out and discuss these things, often with passion, and occasionally with a little insight. Don't worry about the local media. Let them do their job of covering the team and stirring the shit with their clickbait articles, and don't take it personally when they ignore your opinions. They've been ignoring mine for years.

I still think Dame is the better overall player than CJ, but CJ is closing that gap really quick with his off-season work. Now this is just a guess but I assume Dame isn't growing as fast because he's more focused on his off season projects than basketball. But, again just a guess and no real evidence other than his slower on court growth between the last two seasons.

No need to apologize. I just don't understand what any of this has to do with the local media. There are plenty of negative Nancies in the local media. Guys like Jaynes and Canzano rip on the team every chance they get.

If you're upset that no one in the local media seems to agree with your opinions, don't be. Those same guys, Jaynes and Canzano, are also widely considered to be idiots and despised around here.

Personally, I'd be more worried and more offended if the guys in the local media actually agreed with my opinions. To me, that would be cause for concern.
