This Sunday the podcast is back. For the first episode of the year we will have Jabari Young Beat Writer from CSNNW on. It will be from 6-7pm. We will be taking questions from the forum here and from Twitter @PJMiller16 or @TBpup22. We have some great guests lined up for down the road as the season gets going. There will be a new post for each episode and a link to listen directly. There will also be an RSS feed you can put in your iTunes to automatically update after each episode.

It will be more structured then last year and we won't have 7 people on at the same time because that was confusing as hell...haha. Let us know if you have any ideas or questions you want answered.

Larry "TBpup" and I will be hosting and Regan "Strenus" will be producing. We can take calls so we will work that in as well.

Listen to the podcast here.

There is an RSS feed which I will post. You can just add that to iTunes or an rss aggregator. I will submit it to iTunes after a few episodes but you can still get the feed by putting the RSS feed in.

Perfect, thanks.

I'm looking forward to this. I enjoyed last year's, and I'm glad you're bringing it back.

You think S2 could put a tweet up on Sunday and if the Trail Blazers could RT it, perhaps?

You have "great" guests lined up? How can that be, if I haven't been contacted? This will fail without me!

Now that the pre-season has wrapped up, what are your impressions of what you've seen and and what you think is still in limbo? Stotts indicated his rotation in a de-facto sort of way as he wouldn't comment on it specifically. Do you think that is right and how will that play out?

Post your thoughts here. It will give us an idea of what to prep for the show and we'll be checking the site for your in-broadcast comments as well.

Go Blazers!!

I'll repost and add to what I said in another thread.

If we were to list a three-deep rotation, based not on what I want or their ability, but based on what Stotts has done this preseason, I think it looks like this:

PG: Dame, Blake, Barton
SG: Wes, CJ, Crabbe
SF: Nic, Wright, Claver
PF: LA, MyLe, TRob
C: Lopez, Kaman, Freeland

Looking at that, it appears that SF is our weakest position overall, and that TRob is our highest-paid third stringer.

This is only if I put players into traditional positions. Looking at it in terms of rotation and roles, I think each reserve has a relatively well defined role:

Kaman: Sixth man. Can back up either Lopez or Aldridge.
Blake: First guard in. Distributor and outside shooter.
CJ: Offense of the bench.
Leonard: Offensive front court sub.
Freeland: Defensive front court sub.
Barton: Disruptive energy in the back court.
Robinson: Disruptive energy in the front court.
Crabbe: 3/D guy at the 2/3 spot.
Wright: 3/D guy at the 3/4 spot.
Claver: Last man in.

In limbo, I think, is whether or not TRob sticks around. With Leonard's development as a legit option at the backup 4, I could easily see Robinson being traded for an upgrade at the backup 3.

P-Plat...we will definitely be covering some of that. T-Rob does look like he's gone from Houston Game 6 factor to DNP- Coaches Decision.

Our first guest will be new CSNNW Blazer Insider Jabari Young. He just arrived in Portland having come from covering the defending champions San Antonio Spurs.

We'll be monitoring the thread for questions and comments or give us you feedback on Twitter at:

Ask Mr Young why did he leave. Spurs are the defending champs. Portland isn't that much bigger than San Antonio. Seems a little odd.

Do you think the roster will stand pat until the offseason?
From a small sample size, who is the most improved bench player?
Will the Blazers become a top 10 defensive squad this season?
Throughout preseason, did Stotts play Wright, Robinson and Claver limited minutes because he knows what they bring and needed to see more of the other guys or were they actually better?

SPD and riverman...will do.

Blazers on the way up, Spurs on the way down.

If you guys can make it available through iTunes podcasts that would be great, otherwise I doubt I'd remember monst weeks.

Honest question ......are you guys having this new guy on just to build a relationship with him, or are you going to ask him just about the Spurs?

What is this guy going to tell US about the Blazers?

Well, for one, I'd assume that unlike some people on here with some access, we might actually get more than just selfies with Travis' rims or shots of Rice snoring.

Zach Randolph brand chicken is a big seller in Tennessee ever since HCP headed up that marketing campaign.

I do want to ask him about the Spurs. I also think it will be good to see what outsiders think of the Blazers. We're hoping this will be a long term partnership.

Give him a friendly reminder to not trust Dwight's sources on the CBA.

That is one of the questions on the list. Good call.

If you copy and paste the RSS feed in the first post. Open iTunes and go to file and select subscribe to podcast. Paste that link and you should be set.

Not to inflate his ego, but HCP has an awesome radio voice.

...and face.
