PF: Zack Randolph / LaMarcus Aldridge / Raef LaFrentzC: Greg Oden / Joel Przybilla / Jamaal MagloireLaMarcus should be traded in my opinion. He is too good to come off the bench, and they have a hole at SF. Ime Udoka is filling in well, and Martell Webster is solid and getting better, but Darius Miles cannot stay if they want to succeed.Still, they shouldn't worry yet. THEY JUST WON THE LOTTERY!

keep the players they have for a couple years and move Randoplh because of his stock and huge contract.

if any1 there will be traded its randolph for a good young SF

It's one good f*cking problem to have though, SunnyD. But take Magloire out of that rotation because he's a free agent and he will not be re-signed, and Raef LaFrentz won't be in the rotation as it is.

if the need a sf so bad why not take durant? That seems like the smart thing to do!

Have a Oden/Zack duo will kill. And then trade Zack, and have Oden/Lamarcus duo also great duo. They are making the playoffs next year, and so are the Sonic's if they keep Shard, and Ray Allen also. Sonics are so much better then they looked, and Blazers also.Warriors not going to make the playoffs next year, and Lakers will miss the playoffs next year.

A center is not so easy to come by, and they have Randolph as a great bartering chip for a good SF.

Well if you look at Portland's view they are in the West and have to face MANY great big men. The West has Duncan, KG, Amare, Boozer, Okur, Dirk, alot of talent at the PF/C positions and I think with all the big men the Blazers have will make them SERIOUS contencers in the future.

WHO GIVES A DAMN! They have Oden! The rest of the guys besides Aldridge can see the door gets shut on their way out.

I'm of the opinion that Zach Randolph won't be moved this offseason. Jamaal Magloire won't be on the roster next year, Raef LaFrentz isn't good enough to get minutes. So the rotation is simply Randolph, Aldridge, Oden, Pryzbilla. Nothing wrong with having a good 4-man post rotation.

Thats a pretty studly logjam to have.. As long as they all get a great amount of time on the floor every single game then there should be no problems.

I agree with BCB on this. I dont see Randolph getting moved this offseason. To me, its not really a logjam at the 4/5. Joel I wouldnt think would play more than 10 minutes a game. That leaves 86 minutes for 3 players. Thats nearly 30 minutes for each player. With LaMarcus able to play both the 4 and the 5 position, they have more leeway. Now on to the small foward position, they will either be a lottery team again next year, or will be getting a pick in the teens. You can definatly get great value in the middle of the draft. As of now, Webster, Outlaw, and Udoka are good enough to hold down the small foward position. If not, Randolph is tradeable the next season.

If they can't get a good one for him, sit pat and let the team grow.

Trade Lamarcus eventualy (this season or next .. the blazers will probley wait till they feel that Lamarcus will has a lot of attention and value on him) for a future point guard whoever it may be.It should be Joel will average just under 20 mintues or so, not 10!!Zach + Oden could be quite good.

There are some good free agent sf's out there (Nocioni, Magette, Rashard, Mo Pete, Gerald Wallace), and you could get them to sign and trade someone for Zack

Are there any salary trade matchup websites out there? I would like to see what contracts might matchup with ZBoZBo has a huge contract so Im not sure how likely some team is willing to take him. Pritchard is a pretty smart guy and he comes from the mind set where if he cant get something decent out of a trade he isnt going to do it. There are a lot of people that are saying ZBo for Lewis of seattle. I seriously doubt that would happen being that they are in the same division. Lewis wants to be paid and will be taking offers from a lot of teams.Pritchard is also a big character and work ethic guy. I think Durant is more of a dedicated Player than Oden but I think it will come down to the meetings they have with the 2 players. Nate also is a tough coach and it is known here that players have to be a "Nate" type guy to be successful on this team.I still think that the pick will be Oden and Portland will look to package one or two of those second round picks along with Webster,Outlaw,Rodrigez to get a good SF. I dont know how good this team will be if ZBo is still here. He tends to be a ball hog and not so great passing out of a double team.I also wouldnt be surprised to see the Blazers draft Aaron Brooks from the Ducks. Local fan base as well as could turn into a 3pt specialist and solid backup to Jack. One last comment on an interview with Pritchard was that getting the #1 pick made him hungrier to go out and get some marquee free agents. Free Agents will want to come play with Oden and Roy as well as having Paul Allen's big wallet.

Whoever suggested trading Aldridge for a PG. No.Aldridge honestly doesn't ave as much value as Randolph does and Portland doesn't "need" a point guard as much as they need a small forward.Jarrett Jack's a very nice young player and is good enough to be a starting point guard in this league.I think Portland could pull off a trade that lands Shawn Marion. I'm not sure on the specifics but I just tried Randolph for Marion straight up on the RealGM trade checker and it worked perfectly straight up. I'm assuming Portland may have to give up some picks though because Marion to Phoenix I think is more valuable than Randolph because of his defense.I don't see that happening but that's one of the few good small forwards that's contracts match up with Randolph's. The big problem that kills this deal is Phoenix is gonna want to give Amare big bucks as well as Nash and a 4-year deal like Randolph's is VERY hard to help that. I'm not sure if it's the CBA but maybe Randolph could restructure his contract in Phoenix.Thoughts and improvements on this trade?Jack, Roy, Marion, Aldridge, OdenChampionship team within 2-4 years anyone?EDIT: Randolph, Jack and a future pick for Marion? The salaries work...I checked. I don't know if Phoenix likes this but with the talent that Portland will have, maybe a free agent PG will sign there, like Brevin Knight? Then they could grab a PG with one of their second round picks.

From what I have been reading Phoenix will be looking to cut salary to give long term deals to Nash/Stoud. I dont think they would even want Zac.Phoenix has a window to win it all right now and Zac isnt gonna help with that IMO.I think we are more likely to see a trade to the Knicks, Memphis, or maybe Orlando for a player and picks. Basically whatever team has the ability to take the contract and give back some expiring contracts in return and a future pick.I do like the idea of Marion here in Portland but I think it would have to be some kind of a 3 way trade that would get Phoenix someone other than Zac.

Do you think Portland will make any attempt in getting Rashard Lewis through FA or trade? Versatile SF, great scorer, and you got money to spend...

That's what I was thinking right after I made the post. There needs to be a facilitator but I really don't know who that would be or what kind of player Phoenix is looking for. I'm assuming they'de be looking for a good defensive player that can replace Marion. But I think Marion would be a very nice fit in Portland. The problem with that is Marion still won't get the attention still and will be outshined by Oden, Roy most likely. There just needs to be a facilitator and I think this deal could go down. Phoenix might be looking for some expiring contracts. Maybe Miami, LAL or something.Rashard Lewis can't be traded I believe. I was looking at a trade with Seattle and Rashard Lewis is untradable unless he signs an extension with Seattle. He's already denied a contract extension so I doubt that will happen.

I think Lewis would be great but he is going to want max money. I think that if they can trade Zac for a couple expiring contracts or future picks they might let Outlaw have a shot at the 3.He has been a project and when I saw the last Utah game he played in Nate was really talking to him alot and he got I think 28pts if I remember right. I think he is a real "Nate" guy and could be a solid player.Lewis is head and shoulders ahead of Outlaw but I think one of the "contenders" will be looking to sign him. The big market teams will be going after him and if he has a shot of playing outside the northwest I bet he does.Seattle is still going to try and get something for him rather than just let him sign anywhere. Im not sure at what point he is an UFA but my bet is Seattle makes a trade first. I doubt they want Zac, Miles, or LaFrenz. But maybe some draft picks who knows.

Plus his game doesn't compliment amare stoudamires....one of these is going to happen in offseason:1. zach randolph plus couple of second rounders (we have 4) for rashard lewis in sign and trade2. zach randolph for richard jefferson. I love richard3. somehow get mike conley jr. for zach randolph/travis outlaw, etc. depending on how high conley goes in the draft and what team we trade w/. (atlanta would sure love jarret jack, considering jarret's from georgia tech). Oden would fit perfectly w/ conley and would have perfect chemistry from the get-go.oh and by the way... darius miles will never play another game in a blazers' uiniform mark my words

Dude, they're just gonna ship Zach Randolph off. LaMarcus Aldridge and Greg Oden are ready to be starters...no use sitting LaMarcus on the bench. Zach is an excellent post scorer, and he has such soft touch...but his contract is an issue, and he's too lazy on the court...he doesn't try hard on defense at all, and gets a pathetic amount of blocks. Ship him off for a swingman or PG...and let Greg and LaMarcus get their minutes. Easy solution.

There's no way you move Zach Randolph if you're Portland. You need guidance for your young bigs. Aldridge and Oden might be the plan for the future, but not now. You don't take 2 young bigs and throw them straight into the fire together. I thought we learned this with Curry and Chandler in Chicago.

He is the face of the organization right now.Zac still hangs out with Miles and is a great player but a selfish one and not really an "Nate" guy. Because he has been the go to guy for the past few years he kinda has a chip on his shoulder. Its obvious when he gets the ball. He gets doubleteamed and trys to fight through it. I think Pritchard will be shopping him and others this off season to try and get some big time free agents in here. But the thing with Pritchard is that he wants value for Zac, if he cant get decent value then he wont trade him. At that point it will be Nate's job to use Zac/Oden/LMa in some sort of combination.I think we would all love to see Lewis, Marion, Jefferson type player here instead of Zac but Pritchard wont get the raw end of any trade. He is looking like a great GM so far.

Not a lockerroom leader, if Oden is going to start he needs a veteran post-mate.

IF Oden is gonna start? Zac has also been one of those guys in the press doing off court antics here in portland. Last Miles and Randolf are teh last of the bad apples.Zac is a solid player but selfish and would look good in an Eastern conf uniform.I think Aldredge/Oden will do just fine under the guidance of Maurice Lucas (Big Man Coach)

You don't understand. I'm not talking about off the court stuff or being a good person. He needs a vet in the post, starting with him, so the whole load isn't on his shoulders. If Aldridge and Oden start together, they're both going to be overwhelmed. There needs to be a vet starting in that post next season with Oden.
