...seriously?...uhhh, the score was 45-7.

...But they want us to believe that the Pats cheated and only won by purposely under-inflating the game balls?...conspiracy theories...lol.

I'm no fan of them but it's silly. Blount ran all over them all day.

dang conspiracy theories, BSPN has nothing better to write about? Like Brady said: "this doesn't warrant a response"...

Yet, thanks for showing us this clip. I was unaware of....!

Holy shit, just when you think you've heard it all. This is the equivalent of Al Sharpton complaining that the snow is to white.

Ah here we go again, eh Rick. Black Ice and Racist White Snow....I posted this video once, months ago. In case you didn't see it, its a do not miss comedy skit, which puts racism on its head, by two half black and white comedians....

Yes, it was 45-7, but I can completely believe this considering their track record with spy gate.... & for what it's worth, I saw this 3 places BEFORE ESPN posted it....

...it's not at all uncommon for multiple news outlets to report the same thing but it doesn't make it any more credible...ESPN just happened to be where I saw it first.
...all footballs are checked before the game begins and 6 of them are designated and marked for "kicking" only and are in possession of the officials at all times. In the 3rd quarter one of the Refs noticed that one of those kicking balls was mistakenly in play and the play was stopped at the line while they replaced it with a game ball...that's it.
...the Refs also handle the footballs on every play and if they don't feel right they replace them...I guess the Pats paid off the Refs too...lol.
...sounds like sour grapes to me and under inflated balls doesn't explain Indy's defense not showing up Sunday.

...this is just some BS story fabricated to get some attention and guess what?...it worked.

Seriously 45-7 the Colts could have played with a nurf ball & it wouldn't have helped.

So, because it was a blowout it doesn't matter? Why is it that it's always the Pats with this crap? Always a wrinkle in the rules or outright cheating. And how do you know this is the first time they've deflated balls in foul weather. Bellicheck is an outright cheater who has been caught red handed in the past, so the fact that this was found out in a blowout makes it no less significant. In my eyes his entire record is tainted…and the NFL sucks anyway.

Oh don't get me wrong Bern, NOTHING the Patroits or that idiot Bellicheck does would surprise me & I was hoping for the Packers & Colts but, if the balls were indeed deflated don't you think the refs or the opposing QB would have noticed?

No, because each offense uses its own footballs. As for the refs, they barely and lightly handle balls in the middle of doing everything else they need to do. I've read in an article in the BleacherReport that the Pats have been suspected of doing this in the past and when the Colts noticed they did not hesitate. Once the refs were aware of the possibility they later confiscated a 2nd ball on their own.

...well, that type of logic works both ways... ergo, just because the Pats were caught cheating in the past doesn't mean they are now.

...the Ref that spots the ball does more than "lightly handle" the footballs...they are trained to notice under/over inflated footballs...and they do so on EVERY play on BOTH sides of the ball. He handles the football more than anyone else on the field so if anyone should notice something odd, it would make sense that it would be him.

You then have to account for fumbles & interceptions when the defense has a handle on the ball, wouldn't they notice?

^^^I would think so rick.

...but what I don't understand is that I have yet to read or hear anything stating that the ball/s in question were actually tested and found to be "under-inflated".
...this whole thing is kinda odd.

Spending a lot of time on an obvious outcome.
Did "we" really think the Colts were going up there and win....or lose a close game?

lol

Waste of time.

Hell, I wouldn't put it past Belichek to ensure the Refs were provided with a one sided coin for the flip toss, yet I think the deflated ball theory is a bit far fetched. It would indeed be too noticeable, enough to stop game play, at that very moment, IF such really happened....

I'm still waiting a press release or NFL PR, if indeed a ball was confiscated. But that's it, just one ball...?

I agree, this is the 1st time I'm hearing anything of this sort. The News, or NFL.com & NFLTV have NOT made any statements to this degree, I think for one its just another "Conspiracy Theory" aka "Bullshit"...!

media gets duped with Patriot "illegal" history. Also don't like
their "Prince Charming" QB & the crazy HC......amazed how these
media idiots are duped by these sports' clowns.

Amen Lion, Amen....

Prince Charming who cries when he loses a big game. He definitely won't be reincarnating as anything other than the Frog he is, or returns too, if he doesn't make the curfew ......! Sorry Brady Fans, I never have drank the Kool-Aide that is Patsies FB or TB....Even Belichek makes me want to puke and mis-spell his name, for any reason....

I'm not a big fan of the Patroits & I can't stand BelliDICK but seriously, there's no story here.

11 0f 12 balls under inflated. For guys that are so anti cheaters with guys like Bonds and Clemens you sure do seem to be pretty forgiving of a team that has a proven history of cheating. Again, who knows how long they've been doing this. But you go ahead and sweep this under the rug, like we know the NFL will do.

I think there's absolutely a story here. Let's be frank, no one was predicting 45-7 in this game. Yes, the balls being doctored didn't change the outcome of the game, but the fact that the Patriots did it means they thought it could.

I know I'm in the vast minority on this (especially after listening to Golic this morning), but the spread for this game was, iirc, less than 7. If you don't think that deflating balls in a pass-heavy offense in cold weather could potentially impact a play or two in the AFC championship game, that's fine...but obviously the Patriots thought it could, or else they wouldn't have broken the rules.

Not trying to sweep anything anywhere Bern, I mean if they find reason to go after the Patroits have at it. But you just know that even if they find that they intentionally cheated (AGAIN) the worse that's going to happen is a fine & perhaps a loss of draft picks. IMO if found guilty they should fire BelliDICK.

Whatever the league rules dictate. I agree that the game won't be (shouldn't be) replayed, and that the better representative of the AFC is going to the Super B-- sorry, Pro Football Championship Game-- and that if draft picks and fines are what the rules dictate, that's what it should be. Nothing overboard.

..."sweeping what under the rug"?...WTF?

This is sweeping the story of a cheating team caught red handed under a rug. It's no conspiracy theory. The final score doesn't matter.

More sweeping. It's not just some BS story and it's not sour grapes. It's cheating and how could we know how long they've been cheating like this. We don't, and you know what? They DON'T get any benefit of the doubt.

...uhh, all of those comments were made before any of us knew the facts for sure...and that includes you too.

The punishment will be a fine and maybe the loss of a draft pick, as is dictated by the rules. Won't be much of a punishment, but what is more important is that this darling of a franchise with a tainted past continues to be tainted, regardless of how much the fanboys deny it. Patriots*

Honestly, in such a clouded NFL season it would be fitting that the Patriots win it all.

...and before the investigation people were giving them the benefit of the doubt and laughing this away. I sure wasn't given their track record.
