Of course that's a reflection of his inability to coach the pro game. Cheating in the NBA is not as easy to accomplish as it is in Kentucky.

Who is the fool who asked him? No way would he be interviewed.

That was not a slap in the face to Portland. He was bashing himself, IMO. He has said on countless occasions that he was not a good NBA head coach

The Columbian's Blazer guy wrote a column, asking four of the coaches in Portland for the tournament if they'd ever take the job. Pretty good read:

Coach, what do you think about the Rose Garden atmosphere so far, and now that there’s a head-coaching vacancy with the Blazers, would you consider making Portland a full-time stop?

“Yeah, I really want the job,” said Pitino, wearing a grin that would cause a less perceptive man to think he was being sarcastic. “I’d really like to get out here. The weather has just knocked me over, and I really would like to start losing again.”

No coach in his right mind could find a silver lining in coming to Portland while PA and Miller are still here.

There are 29 better situations to consider.
