The Heat were dealing from a different, more favorable deck and still couldn't come up with the combination for victory. Having been pounded on the boards in some recent losses, Miami matched Portland's rebounding total of 45.

It wasn't enough.

The Heat defense was active and applied pressure for most of the game, generating nine steals and six blocks, and holding the Blazers to just 37.5 percent shooting from the field.

And even that wasn't enough.

The entire article talks about how the Heat played well enough to win, but didn't.... and wonders what's wrong with the Heat.

Nothing at all giving credit to a surging Blazer team that beat Miami at it's own game.

The national media sucks.

Eh, gotta expect that. The Heat have lost two games in a row to "okay" teams and people want answers or to just bask in the Heats defeat. The comment section of the game summery on ESPN was fun last night, Heat fans talking about how corrupt the reffing is and how the refs had to have money on Portland for how bad a called game it was.

wade himself said something along the lines of "sometimes you just play your best game and the other team still wins, you just gotta pat them on the back and say good job"

so the blazers beat the heat despite the heat playing great

good stuff!!
