Looking Forward

I look forward to the day when there are not any Dame-related threads on the front page.

Looking forward to talking about actual basketball.

Looking forward seeing how the youth movement goes, good and bad.

Looking forward to training camp.
Looking forward to acquiring some actual forwards. Who can rebound.

A radical thought . . . Is it possible that Lillard’s type of game—lots of three-pointers and no defense—is what has been preventing Portland from getting over the hump? I know he’s an exciting, high volume scorer who comes through in the big moments, but I’ve often wondered if that doesn’t inhibit other players on the team. I’m curious to see how Portland plays with a more balanced offense.

More balanced if they don't have Nurk blowing layups and crying to the refs all game.

I look forward to not being in the lottery. Yeah doesn’t look like it will be anytime soon I know.
I'm looking forward to watching the young stars flash talent and persevere as they get schooled by the league. I really hope to see Shaedon's jumper (catch and shoot & off the dribble) develop into a consistent weapon. I'm also looking forward to learning about and watching the development of the prospects in the next lotto. Done right, roster building is a process and Portland seems off to a good start. I'm focusing on the big picture of them putting together a real team over time, not 2023-4 game to game results.

I’ll be happier when they are not losing on purpose.
