How would you describe your emotions facing your former team tonight?

Greg Oden: “It’s a game we need to win. We’ve been up and down. It’s just about this team and us getting a win right now.”

There’s nothing personal for you to kind of get back out there?

Greg Oden: “I would like to win.”

Have you circled this date?

Greg Oden: “No. Every game I play is basically a circled date. I’m not trying to look at any team just because I used to play for them. I’m happy just to be out there playing against anybody.”

Good for him. Too bad there are so many in here who can't seem to let go...

It makes it more difficult to "let it go" when Durant plays in our division and we are constantly reminded of what could have been.

Yeah, I don't get the angst over Oden. He was the right pick at the time, shit happens and it didn't work out, and I'm long past worrying about him. Hope he has a decent career, but he's never going to be the player that we all thought he would be when he was drafted. Hope he sucks tonight.

He didn't do anything wrong. My men will be facing the crowd. Anyone boos gotta answer to me.

I dont hold anything against Oden and wish him the best in his return to the NBA but it is hard to think of him without a little pain. His last setback and then us waving him later that year. It was the end of Roy/Oden/LMA three headed monster since we knee Roy's knees would never be the same, the end of any dynasty talk.
With Oden it will always be a what-if, what if we drafted Durant, what if Oden was able to stay healthy.
Ill always root for him outside of him playing vs us but his name will always remind of an end to that chapter of the Blazers.

Seemed like stock answers.... He is probably jacked.

Seems LA, Wes and Nic might do something nice for GO like a case of wine in their lockerroom before tipoff?

I don't care if former Blazer players come out motivated or not in a game against the Blazers. What I DO care about is whether or not the current Blazer players come out motivated or not.

Wine? I bet he prefers Long Island Ice Tea. In like a 64 ounce Slurpee cup.

Hopefully we can watch his knee explode again.

Watch him go from being with the Blazers with a broken leg to being a champion on the heat.

It's tough to say he moved on when he was really never here. 82 games in four years. Crikey.

i guess it was like a slow death of an acquaintance for me, by the time he actually kicked the bucket, i had already made my peace

RIP fevered dynasty dreams, you will surely be missed

until we meet again

He was a rum and Coke guy. That's fairly well-known in certain parts of the city.

He bashed the city but made numerous trips back to Portland during the past few summers.

What are the odds MIA re-signs him? He's making little impact and can't play back-to-back games. The swelling hasn't gone away. His knees are getting worse.

He played well in the Big Three league...half court suits him fine...he should stick to that..I actually like that league. It's fun watching Payton coach against Iverson and Kenyon Martin going up against Greg Oden

Oden was truly a dominating force when healthy. What a shame
Unstoppable. Absolutely jaw dropping. If that guy had a healthy structure, the Blazers would have a bunch of championships -- Like 15
