Still can't figure out which team he ended up on, but Russia shouldn't be that bad.
Both Nolan (Croatia) and Luke ended up in better destinations than I expected.
Good luck to him! He will be back in the league though.
Maybe. He's a good guy but a very marginal NBA player. He'd be a good person at the #13-15 spot on a bench.

Udoh at #6...... God damn!

He has a good agent. Duffy wants him to get some playing time this year. He used Danny Green and Patrick Beverly as examples of clients who used Europe to develop their game. Luke will be back in the league at some capacity.
So how many players from last years bench are still in the league (that aren't on the team currently):
Pavlovic: Gone
Jeffries: Gone
Smith: Gone
Babbitt: Gone
Maynor: Signed contract with Wizards.
Price: (waived halfway through season) Signed with Magic. Not sure of the status of his contract (guaranteed or not)
got damn that's a bad bench. Even just adding Mo Williams and trading for Thomas Robinson makes this years bench miles better than last years.

See, its posts like this that should confirm to everyone why its not hard to see that we will much much MUCH better based this year based on our improved bench alone. There was no chance to stay in a game with that bench if the starters didnt 1) have a great game AND 2) play basically the whole game.
I think the difference is, and I am probably wrong, is that some people are looking at our benches potential and seeing a lot more wins. Other are looking at what they have done so far and seeing not a lot more wins
Our bench last year was
Leonard
Price/Maynor
Babbitt
Pavlovic
Barton
Freeland
Claver
Jeffries
Smith
Now it is
Leonard Might be better than himself
Williams Might be better than Maynor
Wright Will drfinitely be better than Babbitt
Barton Might be better than himself
McCollum Might be better than last years Pavlovic
Crabbe Probably won't be better than last years Pavlovic
Freeland Might be better than himself
Claver Might be better than himself
Watson won't matter just like Smith
Robinson Might be better than Jeffries
They could absolutely be better, but to say it as fact is dumb because of progression and experience. Pavlovic, Jeffries and even Babbitt had experience that a lot of our guys don't have this year
Forget our bench last year. Of course we're miles better this year.
How do we compare against one of the better benches in the league last year, like GSW?
Mo vs Jack -- tie
CJ vs Bazemore -- CJ
Wright vs RJ -- Wright
TRob vs Landry -- Landry
Leonard vs Ezeli/Biedrins -- tie
Remaining scrubs -- tie
And GS got significantly worse this year after losing both Jack and Landry. Our bench will be one of the stronger ones this year. Silly to think otherwise.
Mo might be better than Maynor? There's no "might" about it.
Robinson might be better than Jeffries? Again, I don't think there's any "might" about it. Maybe he won't be better than Jeffries in his prime, but he'll certainly be better than 12/13 Jeffries.
And given that Pav really didn't do anything, I think it's pretty much a lock that CJ WILL BE better than Pavlovic.
Even if you disagree with Robinson/CJ, Mo and Wright ALONE make our bench infinitely superior to last year's bench.
However, what I think a lot of people are mis-remembering is that we rarely platooned the entire starting unit for the entire bench unit. People seem to be suggesting that we'd put our bench in and just absolutely come to a stand-still. While this happened on occasion, it wasn't something that occurred game-in and game-out. We mitigated our crappy bench by shuffling them in with starters - which is pretty typical. So the difference isn't going to be night and day, more like night and evening.
Meyers was better than those either of those two last year. I figured he would tie with their combo this year.Leonard tie with Ezeli AND Biedrins?
McCollum, who we haven't seen play a second of NBA basketball better than Bazemore?

Biedrins- 0.5pts, 2.9rebs, 0.8blks in 53 games
Ezeli- 2.4pts, 4.0rebs, 0.9blks in 41 games
(Draymond Green)- 2.9pts, 3.3rebs, 0.3blks in 79 games
Leonard- 5.5pts, 3.7rebs, 0.6blks in 69 games.
Bazemore averaged 2pts, 0.4rebs, 0.4asts. Yes, CJ will be better than that this year. Kinda ridiculous that I actually had to spell this out. Your judgement of our team is so clouded.
You're just arguing to argue. "Well if the pH balance of the soil changed we don't KNOW that grass would still be green."Yes there is because we have no idea how Mo will do on this team....as a back up. look at the difference in seasons for Crawchuck as an example of this.
Jeffries was an exceptional defensive player. Robinson has been on 3 teams in less than a year.
Again, saying a player who has never once played an NBA game that wasn't a can't miss prospect coming out of college will be better than someone who is an average at best NBA player is silly.

By your logic we have no idea how ANY of our players will play - the roster is different, so LMA might become Luke Babbitt and Lillard will grow a third arm and get called for a triple-dribble.
