Can someone tell me what new features are included?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Matt @ Aug 5 2006, 10:22 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Check out their easports page.</div>I did but I tried clicking the links and nothing popped up anyone give me a quick summary.

New features? Super Star Mode is a lot more in depth than it was last year (you actually play AS your Super Star in games, not the QB by default), and this year you can control blockers for plays, especially your FB but the entire O-Line as well. That's my understanding of the newness.

There's a new higlight stick for the rb's which means he can do a lot more moves and tricks. And I heard there's no vision cone.

I heard theres a vision cone its just automatically turned off, you have to turn it on on your own like on NCAA 07

In superstar mode have they added anything to the crib, etc. to make it feel more like you are a superstar and can do soemthin with it? If anyone is confused mainyl did they make it like the 2k games use to be where you can actually go inside the crib and do stuff?

Yeah from what I heard it's a lot more in depth and they actually make you feel like a Super Star in every way, on and off the field. The combine stuff looked awesome, too.I know ESPN helped make the 2K games and ESPN had something to do with the production of this game so we should see more of the cribs type thing this year.

I was watching a preview of the game somewhere. Don't remember where. And it was showing Super Star mode in practice as a WR. And you just control the WR, it shows you your route and you have to run it and than hit the catch button (the route stays on the field the whole play). Looked pretty fun.

So far, nothing has convinced me to put down $50 for this. I might get it once it goes down to $40 or $30.The Run to Daylight looks really weak to me. To me, this is just an excuse to not fix the constant running game mess ups.Superstar Mode looks better which would be the only reason I'd get it. Hopefully, if they havn't completely taken the commentary out, they made it less annoying.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Bleed Green @ Aug 6 2006, 06:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Do they have the rookie pictures?</div>Good question, I doubt they do but that would be awesome... I bet they will do somthing like a computer picture of them according to how they look on the field (like NCAA does)

Why can't they get rookie pictures? I don't understand why they can't use their faces. Is it a contract or legal issue?

Probably a timing issue and something having to do with rookies having to be under contract before they can put their faces in the game maybe something like that?

That would be sick.Anyone know where I can find the madden ratings?

Hundreds (Thousands?) of people already have been issued the game by EA, so even though most are under contract when it is released to the general public, practically none, if any are signed when they are done making it. Basically they are just lazy and don't care how we feel about rookie pictures :glare:

The game is already in production before the first rookies ink their deals to officially make them a member of the NFL and the NFLPA so yea it has more to do with timing....im sure they could get most of the pictures in there if they delayed the game but who really wants them to do that just so we can see photos.

the game is usually done programed by early summer, then they have tests and work out some quirks. i think its the fact that EA has a contract with the NFLPA, and when the game isp rogrammed and the rosters are included, the rooks arent signed yet.

woot woot i get my game tomorrow, 2 days earlier then normal people, i love my bud, haha. I will post some screen shot after i get it, just like i did with ncaa, alright folks. enjoy ur madden LATE.

Which is Midnight on the East Coast, but whatever. You know I'm picking it up as soon as they hand them out and going right home and playing for hours and hours...

And if you aren't signed, they can't use your photo. Sadly they press to get it on the market before the season, so most rookies can't have their photos unless they sign soon after the draft. Mario Williams should be pictured, lol.So it's really a toss up. Rookie pictures of the game coming out after the season has started.

It's a few hours later that it comes out for public, so I guess I can wait a few hours.

I'd get mine Monday at midnight but I have 2-a-days the following day...

i got my game, woot woot, first impression the soundtrack is amazing, looking good so far.
