When you're setting up a franchise, it gives you the option for a fantasy draft when you're choosing how long the quarters are, difficulty setting, etc...

I just won the superbowl with the Minnesota Vikings. Lol, I turned Troy Williamson and Brooks Bollinger into superstars in my season. I started at 13-1 on Pro, then finished the season on All-Pro. I'm going to try All-Madden in a bit.

I'm killin it with the Raiders. I only upgraded the offensive line the first season and went 12-4, lost in the AFC Championship game to the Pats. Now in my second season, Michael Huff is now an 88, Jamarcus Russell is an 86, Kirk Morrison is a 90, Thomas Howard is an 85, this receiver I drafted in the low first round is 6'3 220 lbs 79 overall with 93 speed, 91 catch, 89 catch in traffic, I've been working on his spectacular catch all year so he'll be a flatout stud in a year or two.

[Really Lost One]

I remember in Madden 06, I used to change positions of players in my franchise mode. For an example, I would edit Donavan McNabb to a wide receiver, and resign him for a cheap long term deal. Then I would switch him back to quarterback. Then I would take someone like Orlando Pace (o-line) and swith him to a defensive end. I would then trade for him using my 6th round pick, resign him for cheap, and swith him back to o-line. It's a great way to build a SuperBowl team if editting is still allowed

LT is a beast in this game. I use the Chargers almost all the time. LT with Rivers to Gates ftw!

LT, Reggie Bush, Maurice Drew, and Brandon Jacobs are insane in the game. People are either getting trucked or getting broken.

I love Reggie Bush in the game. He's on my fantasy drafted team and he rocks. People miss frequently because of his juking ability, and his elusiveness also allows him to slip a ton of tackles. Also noteworthy is how amazing Calvin Johnson is. On freaking All Pro difficulty, I burned my opponent with him for over 300 yards receiving and 4tds on just five catches. If he's in single coverage against almost anyone, it's over.

Aww man I forgot about mentioning Calvin Johnson. Him and Maurice Drew are on my fantasy team. Calvin Johnson, in my opinion, is one of the best WRs to get in that game. Any tall receiver actually. Even Matt Jones looks nasty in that game.

Just wondering, but what difficulty to you play on CLos. Cause if you're honestly having success with Brandon Jacobs or Matt Jones, you should probably amp up the difficulty. I have an equally as good back up RB in Lynch, and even he's not half as good as Reggie Bush. Beyond that, Greg Jennings, my 2nd best receiver and an 87 overall, can't do anything. If you're having success with Matt Jones and dominating with Brandon Jacobs, you should pump the difficulty up a bit.

Jacobs isn't an incredible back, but his power rating's like 99. If you use him properly, he's damn near impossible to take down. I was playing with him on All-Madden and he was dominating.

That's the problem with almost all of EA's games though. Certain attributes are just so useful, that you can dominate with one-dimensional players. Tall wide receivers in Madden are almost guaranteed receptions.

If you play with Jacobs against a smart human though, you'll be doomed. The computer is stupid and tries to frequently to truck through big guys. A smart human will just take his legs out though. The only time a computer even contemplates taking the legs off from under anyone on my team is in the open field, and if that's the case, with Reggie Bush, I can just side step or hurdle them.

NFL 2K5 > Madden 08</div>Am I the only person that didn't like NFL 2K5? Running was WAY too easy, just like in All Pro 2K8, and I hated the Franchise mode. Too much micromanagement there for my liking. In all honesty, I've never really liked 2K for football games. 2K8 is the only one I've really played a lot of because of it's pick up and play appeal. Otherwise, 2K5 took way too much time in it's franchise mode with having to set up practices all week.

I play on All-Pro. I mean Matt Jones' jumping is high and he's already 6'6. Jacobs is a power back so I mean he's always trucking people. I just use them to their strengths.

About the whole ring/trophy thing you build up during the season, how do you save that? After I exit a regular season game and it sends me back to my main franchise menu, do I just go and hit save franchise? My ring never has anything on it and theres nothing in my trophy room...

I know what you're talking about. Basically, you need to just do certain tasks that it says to do. Well, do you have PS2? I do and it tells you to do certain things to get some "bling" on it. I think you save it under your user profile that you have. It should save under there.

The ring is your profile. Just make sure you're saving that and your ring progress will save.
