<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Sports landmark Madison Square Garden will be demolished and relocated under a tentative agreement signed by Cablevision Systems Corp., paving the way for more than $3 billion in real-estate development that will include a new train station, office towers and shops in the heart of Manhattan," reports Alex Frangos of the WALL STREET JOURNAL. "According to people familiar with the matter, MSG, a Cablevision subsidiary, signed a nonbinding memorandum of understanding several weeks ago with Vornado Realty Trust, a publicly traded New York real-estate investment trust, and Related Cos., a private developer, to build the new arena." </div>

Hopefully that will kill the curse....

Wow, first Yankee stadium, and now MSG? These are two of the biggest sports attractions in the world, and they will be gone soon.

Maybe that'll get rid of the losing stigma the knicks have as of the last few years...

So now the it's the arena thats at fault, for the Knicks losing....

Thats BS, how are you going to destroy MSG and all its spectactular memories and events. home of the legendary rangers, knicks, johnies, so many other events that happened. sure it will still be played there but do you really think this MSG will be named the MECca. i just think dolan is making a huge mistake. The garden should never be destroyed ever.

You can't stop progress. I'm sure the new arena will make its own mark on the city.

The memories will always live on. They're just making it bigger and better.
