Keyon Dooling thought of himself as an integral part of the Magic’s success, thought he would be rewarded by Orlando. Then, after the Magic signed journeyman Anthony Johnson to a vets minimum deal, they low-balled Dooling, offering him only a two year lower level exception contract, nearly 40% less than he made. Magic sources now tell the Orlando Sentinel it was business, nothing personal, that signing him to any more would have put them in luxury tax territory.
