This is easily his best offseason.

Four guys who really didn't help much during the playoff run:
Aminu
Harkless
Leonard
Turner

They had their moments, but they were unreliable and at times they were a liability out on the floor. In one summer he has taken those four guys and he has added/retained

Whiteside
Bazemore
Hood
Little
Hezonja

Obviously there's still some questions about who will be the starting power forward, and who will be the backup center until Nurk comes back, but this has been a stellar offseason so far. He has maintained our core, kept our young studs, and added players at key positions. Nice job Neil!

I disagree strongly! You refuse to recognize that Meyers led 5 categories in the WCF and scored 5 consecutive swish3s against GSW in what could have been a win.
Neil will have given away the 2020 NBA Championship if this major mistake Whiteside deal goes tnrough. So CANCEL it Neil, or deserve criticism rather than praise!

No! This Whiteside trade is by far the most destructive step that Neil has made for the Blazers! Neil and Terry should review it and cancel before it is finalized.

I just talked with Meyers and wife and they are very happy to be going to a sunny climate! New horizons are part of the journey!

At least now we have a reason to watch Heat games again.

Should be a fun matchup.

To actually get someone for the worst player to ever play on our team (Meyers). MAJOR props.

Still wont apologize for 2016 ever. But props for this.

Calm down Meyers you're going to Miami. It's got great weather.

This might be blasphemy to mention but... this is also the first offseason with a hands off owner...

Relax Elle, and consider this an excellent opportunity to work on your tan......you’re taking this way too hard, especially considering how much money Meyers brings home......

Very impressive indeed! We kept salary flexibility for next summer as well as the personnel upgrades you list. We have development of our youth which I expect to help next season. Hoping DameCJ all do a bit of load management and can be at full strength entering the playoffs.

Go Blazers!

Kind of funny...

I ran into Neil on Friday and he was in the best mood I've ever seen him in -- I was in a hurry so we didn't chat long, but I asked him about it and he made a passing comment about the weather and how nice it is to be able to enjoy it in the offseason. When the Hood news broke, I assumed THAT was why he was so happy... Didn't anticipate multiple more layers to that!

Nice! He's going to fit in well down there. Maybe he can open an outdoor gym on the beach.

That's awesome.

I gotta say, I appreciated that ML kept working and tried to do what they asked him to do. Im glad that his last games in Portland were some of the best in his career, but I think this is a move thats good for Portland and good for him. A change of scenery could help him grow, maybe a new defensive system may fit him better than Stotts’ has.

I got no hate for ML (or Mo), but I think all three players should be happy for a change in this trade, and both franchises could look at this trade and be happy with it.

We can take a select few games from ML and say look how awesome he is, but we can also take quite a few of his games over the last few seasons and think why is this guy an NBA player other than he’s tall?

I really hope he has success down in Miami assuming thats where he ends up this summer, but this type of trade was needed, it was time for both sides to move on.
