All these other teams are pursuing players to get better, but Portland just sits there. Let's go after Kevin Love or someone who can help us win. If not, we will just repeat last season. The west is too tough to just sit on our hands.

This concept is about as smart as an architect building a skyscraper with tampons.
It would look crazy in the rain!
Which starters do you want to give up to get Love and do you think we should cut off one of his fingers or just break one legs to convince him to sign here when his contract is up?
Do you think Portland will be able to afford Mathews when his contract is up?
We have a billionaire owner. As long as we are winning, I don't think that's ever a problem.
What would be a problem is spending luxury tax on mediocre players like we did when Whitsett was running the team.
kluv 6years in the NBA, 3 seasons over 70 games. damn sure max contract player. silly
Paul likes to see his young players blossom.
You have a challenge for being the worst GM posts on here now.
Well look at how long we kept players like Patty Mills, Elliot Williams and Greg Oden and the next one will probably be Allen Crabbe. I just said that he likes to see his young players blossom.
Welcome to S2 Dduck . . . I think you just got a harsh but real taste of this board.
Hang in there and don't take this stuff personally.
Go Blazers
I understand the criticism with the OP and I agree with it. However, there are trades out there that could be made, that haven't. A good example is a Thaddeus Young trade. One Philly poster said that their GM has always been interested in CJ. It is reasonable to consider CJ and Young as the principals in a swap (Young makes $8, so we'd need to add other players).
Young is a very good player, but he's not a shooter so it's a question of him fitting our system. Lots of possibilities to discuss!
yeah man, welcome.
