Religion Make no mistake about it: the alt-right is a cult, and this is how its members lure people in

Another example of the term red pill. Jim Carrey is fucking great in this

You can't seem to comprehend there are groups that really hate PC culture.

Sure I can. I can even name some of them: neo-Nazis, the alt-right, Trump fans...

Being told what they can and can't say. That's part of the reason trump won, and it's why these trolls exist. It's easy to get your type worked up over some words.

Except you are the one getting worked up over words. Just reread this thread, and you'll see it is you, not any other poster, getting worked up.

Not because they truly believe wat they are saying, because you are so wrapped up in an ideology, you can't even think of any other way. So yes, you should be trying harder.

I think you are just throwing shit at the wall and hoping it sticks. It's not sticking. You aren't even hitting the wall, it's just landing on your shoes.

Sure we can...Iggy Pop and the Stooges...Sex Pistols...Jim Morrison....I can name dozens of those groups....most of them enjoyed pain and heroin

right, I am talking modern day though. It changes, these groups change. Doesn't mean they are alt right or trump supporters

I'm beginning to think that Barfo and Cippy are father and son.

barfo: “SlyPokerdog never told you what happened to your father.”
Cippy: “He told me enough! He told me you killed him!”
barfo: “No, I am your father.”

people that hate PC culture don't have to be alt right or trump fans. Honestly look around, surf the internet, majority hates this shit and they would tell you they hate politics, they just hate how sensitive and weird this country is getting. Majority agrees with me, the issue is you just stick to CNN and left wing outlets.

alt right
sooner everybody loses this alt fucking prefix the better off we'll all be...alt nonsense....the great and powerful Oz...pay no attention to the man behind the curtain....it's just a distraction

I didn't make it up, nor do I want white supremacists in America as well as the alt left which would be Antifa. Both groups bring nothing but hate and destruction

I would summarize that video as "hey, we aren't racist, we are just pretending to be racist, because irony". Trouble is, that gives lots of cover to people who actually are racist.

Where do you stop being ironically racist? Do you march with a tiki torch? Is it ok to gas a few million jews if you do it ironically?

barfo

Idk, but the lady sure was purty.

Serious question for the heads thinking PePe isn't now a racist symbol:

Is the swastika a symbol of racism to you?

Why?

dviss you go to extremes. Swastika is completely different than a frog meme. You are speaking about something you know nothing about, you are just making an extreme comparison because you think it's the same. It's not. Do your research on the meme. I don't even think the tiki torch guys would want to use that meme as a symbol. It's a meme, plain and simple.

@Cippy91

6.
the use of any of certain special figures or marks of identification to signify a religious message or divine being, as the cross for Christ and the Christian faith.

This is what it really comes down to.
Symbolism. What does this flag represent?
What does this quote represent?
What does this address represent?

Symbolism cna hold multiple definitions based on the viewer/interpreter.

This symbolism wll usually be a direct reflection of one's history and experiences.

Meaning, I have never been introduced to PEPE the MEME until I read this thread and article.

So for some, yes, the meme may not represent, what you know or remember of the meme.

However, you are not the only one on this planet and not everyone knows what you do and you know know everything others know.

So with that said, for me, not ever knowing who PEPE was, wouldn't it be logical for me to associate the PEPE MEME with white supremacy, merely because some of them are now using it?

Times and symbolisms can change. It doesn't make their current stance as a symbol any less valid, because it used to symbolize something else.

The word Gay was used to define a joyous feeling. Feeling happy and well to do.

Now it is associated with a sexual gender preference.

Are you going to tell those who support homosexuality that they shouldn't be offended by being called gay?

I ask for @dviss1 to provide an input on this example.

When I grew up, it became wrong, or not PR to call Black men Black. The term was African American. Then that kind of faded again and Black seems to be accepted.

I don't know what is truly right, but what the majority says they believe the correct term(symbol) is, I will go with it.

My point is that things and symbols change. Just because you see PEPE as harmless doesn't mean that there is not a real movement to use the MEME as an underlying conversation to discuss alterior motives to help ones extremism come to the forefront.

And lastly, I would have ho9ped you would have learned a lesson from me over the last week or two.
Don't take this place, or these people seriously.
How do you know, some people aren't just saying things knowing it gets at you, regardless of whether they believe it or not?

This is the playground and we shall play. ;)

We're the only people who's description is a trend. When is this shit gonna end?

Black has always been the term that suits us best.

One day Jessie Jackson was feeling neurotic about being called the made up construct "black" so he decided the euphemism African American sounded better than black, Negro, colored etc.

I hate that term. I was born at Emanuel Hospital.

I'm an American American.

So you're not going to answer the question then?

My counter point to that is, this has existed in internet and meme culture for years now. You don't see white supremacists running around with this frog on them. It's not what you think it is. It's only a select few and the meme is in a different variation. Just because a few people might up shown up at rallies with this frog depicted as a nazi or whatever doesn't make it it's symbol. This meme is still largely used by just regular people for humorous occasions and everybody mostly understands that it's just a meme, pretty much nobody sees it as a symbol of hatred or whatever unless you are far left and just wanna be dumb about it. People like to throw fits over nothing. I get it. I tripped earlier. Shouldn't have. I just don't appreciate on the forum constantly being told I am defending alt right by the same people. I am not. I am nor right or left. I dislike the political party system, I think it does nothing but tear people apart. It just seems to be real popular these days to label people shit. "oh you are alt right, you are a nazi, a racist, fascist". People are just slinging these words around and they mean nothing anymore. To me, it's a frog meme, I grew up in this internet meme culture. It's not a symbol. I would advise you do more research on this meme and kekistan, 4chan. There are dark sides to everything but most of it is just anti PC and super dark humor mixed in with your occasional internet racists. None of it is alt right. Nobody wants to do their research though, they would rather link an article that tells me what these words mean and what they are associated with. Too many let the media dictate their thoughts. I also get called a trump supporter no matter how many times I have said I don't agree with his shit and that he is an idiot. I get called it because I don't sit and call him a fascist or a racist. I instead ask "hey, what makes him a fascist" or a racist? because I don't see it". Doesn't mean I stand for trump, I question things and one thing that is in trouble in this society today is free speech, the watering down of words that once meant something. I will tell you though, do your research, the majority of people think and know that pepe is just a meme, no symbol. The media is what took it and spun it after hillary said pepe meant white supremacy. I stand for free speech. Against this PC culture. That's all.

I have decided when people wanna get weird and say this frog means racism or whatever other dumb shit the PC people say, I will just troll, not worth getting mad about.

Couple things:

Take a breath.

Paragraphs.

read it and that's your explanation for your original question. if you know nothing of this meme why do you have an opinion on it?

When did you see me provide an opinion? I asked a simple question. One you keep dodging.

Americans are a whole melting pot of different things so being American american is just straight dumb and makes no sense

Then don't ever fucking call a black person African-American again if it's so stupid...

African-American doesn't make much sense either. How am I African American if I've never been there?

It's like your brain doesn't work sometimes...

And you didn't even fucking watch the video. You probably won't either. You're the type that when new information comes your way you just brush it aside and don't care about it.

Is the swastika a symbol of racism to you?

No, I can't say racism ever popped into my head seeing a swastika. It was pretty much a symbol of evil back in the day when we went to war with the originals.

Curious, The Originals? Never heard that term.
