I remember when this happened. I was caught up in the mystery of it. Flight 370 seemed to have just disappeared into thin air, then was found to have turned around and flown over the straight of Malacca, and south into the Indian Ocean.
I remember everyday there was some new detail. It took over a week to get the redirected flight path. Then there was the too passengers with fake passports. Then it was found that the pilot had flown the same path into the Indian Ocean on his flight simulator at home.
All the crazy theories came out of the woodwork. It was flown to a secret terrorist base to be used later, it was shot down by the United states for flying to close to Diego Garcia. Over three years later and they have yet to find the plane. If it was hijacked to be used later, it seems like later would have come.
Really this "mystery" is solved even though it isn't. Captain Aquarian Ahmad Shah who had practiced flying planes into the Indian Ocean on his simulator, waited till his flight was in a grey zone between air traffic controls, lured his co pilot out of the cockpit, probably by asking him to bring some attractive females to the cockpit which the co pilot was known for doing, locked the door, and switched off the transponders to hide his location, rerouted the plane, flew to 45,000 feet to kill the passengers, before flying the plane and attempting to soft land it in the ocean, killing himself, the crashed plane sank to the bottom of the Ocean, and there it will sit until it is found.
