Watch the video on the link, the guy drove around for 3+ hours randomly shooting people before be killed himself. Killed 12, wounded 25.
A CRAZED gunman shot dead 12 people today in a shooting rampage before killing himself.
Taxi driver Derrick Bird killed a fellow cabbie then drove through the Lake District in Cumbria apparently blasting his victims at random before turning the weapon on himself.
Another 25 people were injured during the bloody shootings — which cops have called "truly exceptional".
Three people are still critically ill in hospital.
The tragedy is the worst British massacre since 16 children and one adult died in Dunblane in 1996.
Detective Constable Stuart Hyde today said: "This has shocked the people of Cumbria and around the country to the core."
The body of the father-of-two, 52, was found in woods in Boot, Cumbria, this afternoon.
Police said tonight two weapons have been found and they are investigating 30 different crime scenes.
A local taxi driver claimed that Bird gunned down three cab drivers in Whitehaven this morning after having an argument with them last night.
He said: "All of the taxi drivers were friends. But I heard last night there was an argument on the taxi rank."
Chillingly a pal said that when they spoke yesterday, Bird had told him: "You won't see me again."
Witnesses today described horrific scenes as Bird shot many of his victims in the HEAD at point-blank range.
Cops had been desperately hunting Bird from Rowrah, near Frizington, after a series of bodies were discovered along a 15 mile stretch of the Cumbrian coast.
Speaking earlier, Deputy Chief Constable Stuart Hyde, said in Duke Street, Whitehaven, where a victim's body was found: "I can confirm that we've found a body in a wooded area near Boot which we believe to be Mr Bird, together with a firearm.
"A formal identification will be made later."
Armed cops were scrambled at 10.35am after reports of a man opening fire from his car on a busy street in Whitehaven.
Bird abandoned the vehicle close to Boot this afternoon and was on foot when he took his own life.
A 66-year-old woman was among the dead in Seascale, a family friend confirmed.
Unmarried Jane Robinson was shot in Drigg Road just yards from the home she shared with her twin sister Barrie.
Speaking at the house today, a family friend said: "I can confirm that very sadly Jane was killed.
"Her sister Barrie is too upset to talk at the moment."
One of the taxi drivers killed by Bird was named locally as Darren Rewcastle.
A fellow cabbie said he had known Mr Rewcastle, whom he described as being in his 30s, for five years.
People nearby said the victim was Kenneth Fishburn, a retired security worker at the nearby Sellafield nuclear power plant.
He also killed retired trade union organiser and father-of-two Michael Pike, 64, who was out cycling.
It was reported that a farmer's son was gunned down at point-blank range about an hour after the Whitehaven shootings in the village of Gosforth.
He was named locally as Gary Purdham. He was shot as he worked in a field, local residents said.
Mr Purdham was trimming hedges with his uncle just before midday when Bird drove past, wound down his car window and blasted him, according to a neighbour.
One local, who did not want to be named, said the farmer's son was in his early 30s and had two young children.
Rod Davies, landlord of Gosforth Hall Inn, said: "The guy flipped for whatever reason. Whether it was pre-meditated, we don't know.
"He has gone on a spree to Seascale, where he's believed to have caused two fatalities.
"He then left Seascale and went through Gosforth where he's believed to have killed a local farmer, and shot him at point-blank range.
"He's then headed to the valley where Boot is."
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: "There are a number of fatalities and police are working to identify the individuals and inform relatives."
