Casino staff told Kusznirewicz he would not be paid the $42.9 million or any amount because the machine had malfunctioned.

Kusznirewicz claims there was no indication the machine was broken and OLG staff couldn't point him to any evidence that it wasn't working. Staff took photos of the machine and then turned it off.

One supervisor gave him a business card for two free meals at the casino's buffet. She then upped it to four meals.

It sounds like he won the money fair and square but they just didn't want to pay him. :tsktsk:

What a negotiating loss.

I would have negotiated the Casino into paying for me to get one of those lifetime cards for free meals at a place like Old Country Buffet, or something of that nature.

Canadians fuck everything up.

That's how we roll in Canada. 40 deep and you never get your cash.

Can't he take them to court for this? I would assume he would have a case

He is taking them to court.

Bro, if they denied me 42 million, I'd destroy everything.

I wouldn't accept anything less than 10-15 million.

Why should he even consider anything less than 42.9 million? He won it, he is entitled to it. But, I understand your point.

All casinos are a joke, just google "casino refusing to pay" and you'll get 100,000+ hits about casinos which have refused to pay a winner and their excuse is always the same, there was either a "malfunction" or a "glitch" with the slot machine.

I would be taking their asses to court. That's some messed up shit right there.

i doubt they have a case in court. if you read the article, it says the actual max jackpot on that machine was $9,025.
