He's implementing the old mob boss trick.

Thoughts and prays

I feel so sorry for him...not

The judge commented that she'd been given no actual documentation on his condition, so she assumed that the claims about his health were more for public relations than for her consideration.

It is funny how the trump administration is just a really dumb persons version of how the "mob" works.

It's sort of like the properties of a photon, sometimes it's a particle and sometimes it's an electromagnetic wave. It's like the position of a valence electron which is measured in probability. It can be in more than one place at the same time. Okay, this describes Trump and his loyal minions, sometimes they're a mob and sometimes just bumbling fools.

I said it before the election, and I'll say what I can now...

What part of a guy who was an oddly-successful-yet-not businessman, who dealt with all manner of progressive elements, and is a NJ/NY real estate tycoon--what part of that made you think everything a) would be on the up-and-up and b) wouldn't incorporate mob-ish details? And what makes you think he's a conservative/"real" Republican?

Love them or hate them, there's no way that the Jeb Bush/Ted Cruz/Bernie Sanders presidency would be going this way. I think the HRC one would be much worse, and we'd know much less about it.

I thought depression was the whole idea of jail time anyway. As to his health...I can guess going from caviar and single malt to jail food would probably fuck around with a guys health...he's in hell now...hope he likes the view

I heard that he's been fending off cockroaches. Now that just breaks my heart.
I hope he finds them crawling across his lips late at night. Am I mean?

And what makes you think he's a conservative/"real" Republican?

The fact that every elected Republican stands behind him, and around 90% of Republican voters view him favorably.

He may not be what you think of as a republican, but that makes you the outlier, not him.

Definitely true.

Ha ha.

Well you can laugh but HRC would do a much better job at corraling most of the mainstream media and controlling the narratives. Half of Trumps schtick is that he’s always argueing with the media and has to be on Twitter running his mouth all the time.

Also its anectodal but of all the conservatives I converse with NONE of them like Trump at all.

I actually dont think the republican party is anything like the party I grew up with, and in many ways while I consider my self conservative I am not a republican. Its no surprise that elected officials support him, but thats a power thing more than a nod to how “Republican” they think he is. Most presidents see quite a bit of support during their first term.

So would anyone without Trump's issues.

I don't doubt you, but ~40% are answering polls saying they approve of Trump.

I mean, technically Trump is trying to control the narrative of the media by way of trying to brainwash people into thinking its fake news on EVERYTHING bad about him. (Even though some have turned into lies from the media, there are lots that ARE true.) I just find it highly ironic that a guy that is trying to "spread truth" lies more than anyone I've ever known.

He's a joke, a farce, and the worst president I've had in my lifetime. And I lived through Bush. lol.

To this day, I have only slipped up once and actually called him "president"... I quickly apologized, put soap in my mouth, and made amends with myself.

btw, Tortured, this is not directed at you personally... I just went on a rant while responding to you. lol.

I guess what I meant is that Hillary to me might do just as devious things as Trump but she would be so much better at not publicly waving her arms saying look Im being stupid... Trumps constantly waving his arms on social media saying look Im stupid look at me, oh and the real media is just lying. Hillary would do much better at using the media for her purposes. Totally understand that Trump creates his own narrative as well.

Not a fan of Trump at all. I didnt really have strong feelings about Bush or Obama, at least they seemed... Presidential?

No one would be worse than Trump. The guy has no clue what he is doing and is only in it for whatever he can personally get out of it. Unfortunately there were some who were so afraid of a politician that they voted for a non politician and now we have this mess.

I honestly dont know how any American was all that ok with either candidate from 2016... What was terrifying wasnt Trump or Hillary so much as that those were the last two standing, that spoke volumes about where things were and are at. I believe 2016 was just the start though 2020’s election stuff is going to blow 2016 out of the water and 2024 I think we will see a country desperate for stability.
