one of my friend's cousins started a company that does this, but for clocking in and out of work. Creepy stuff.

Kind of old news. Wastewater treatment plants and their receiving streams have been tested for a plethora of constituents over the years. Covid is simply the latest. Originally they started doing testing to try and determine the drug use levels in the municipalities tested. Imagine our surprise 20 or so years ago when they found that Salem’s meth usage was off the charts......we were shocked. SHOCKED I tell you (but it did lead to a successful local anti meth crusade)........anyway, not sure exactly what they plan to do with the Covid data, but it’s an interesting scientific wrinkle......and as far as tips go, work at a treatment plant long enough and all manner of “tips” float in. One day long ago, after a string of bank robberies in Salem, an unknown amount of Benjamins (with a few Grants thrown in) decided to make an appearance. By the end of the day I was $950 ahead. The next day was the best Costco run EVER.......

I used to work for a company that built water/wastewater treatment plants. We’d do everything from excavation on up to completion. I learned a TON in the 3 years I worked there. Was a great experience for a 19 year old even if only for the knowledge and work ethic gained.

I use to be able to eat anything with chopsticks but the tremor in my hand now prevents me from using chopsticks. Can't even sign my own name these days. Wife signs everything. If my wife isn't present I use an 'X'. Last time I was at the VA they wouldn't take an 'X' so just scribbled because I can't even make a legible letter.

Damn, Lanny, how do you type? Speech recognition software?

Usually I can type although I do have to squint to see because I'm blind in one eye and can't see well out the other.
I usually can type okay but every once in a while the tremor will get so bad that I have to hen peck when I type.

My wife is a physical therapist and used to work with disabled people with very limited mobility that have to use a power wheelchair to get around. Some can't even control the joystick with their hand, but use other means (chin, tongue, head, breath, etc.) to control it. It’s really awesome how technologies, particular computer software, have helped to improve their lives.

If you find it difficult to type, perhaps look into a speech recognition software to help you. It’s very accurate in its speech recognition.

Good idea. Of course I'm not there yet but I predict it's in my future.
I've got therapists trying to teach me how to get in and out of bed, which is kind of silly 'cause I can get in and out of the shower. I even shower myself so I'm not a total invalid just yet. Every time I think about how I used to relish my long workouts it upsets and depresses me. But, I'm a realist and you've got to play the cards you've been dealt.
