MarAzul getting a face lift and a few corrections.

Looks good but I still think the ghost flames is the way to go.
I think I might be asked to leave as soon as the Flame bow of MarAzul poked around the corner of the entrance to Port Hudson.

Wood Boat! Tradition man! MarAzul is stretching the tolerance as she is.

If it's tradition you want you should go with one of these!

Ha, isn't that life. Well, glad you got it worked out, or at least glad you continue to work out the kinks. I know it's a much smaller example, but the first engine I ever took apart was on a crappy old dodge when I was around 20. Spent a every day for a week working on it, taking everything apart that I could, added a few new parts. Put it all back together and went to close the hood to start it up, the hood wouldn't close. The engine purred, but I couldn't drive it. So I had to take it all apart again, take off some of my additions and when I put it all back together that time, it wouldn't start. I never actually got to drive that car again. Spent too much money on rebuilding everything that to do it a third time made no sense.
My first engine build started perfectly and runs like a champ to this day. But thats the price i pay for being perfect.

Not yet. Been thinking about a decorative salute gun for the quarter deck. For show you know but actually a 40mm launcher when needed.

So how many old, salty deck hands are you needing for your "cruise" to Port Townsend? I know a couple that would be anxious listeners to them sea stories on the way! (you could probably charge a fee, to cover your expenses if required also....) Have Barfo set up a plank, in case anyone gets out of line. Sit back, and enjoy the trip.... :)

I've got a 2 man rubber raft with plastic oars, if that would help. :) Probably, not....

The Harbor master at Port Hudson has me covered with the tugboat work.

I'll do the trip single handed . A couple of long tacks to the Strait.

That, is the smart thing to do. Then you don't have to build a plank..... :)

Some years back, I took a couple friends of my son along with us on a trip to the Channel Islands. The first leg was suppose to be from Moss Landing on Monterey Bay to Santa Barbara. One of the kids was one merit badge away from qualifying for Eagle Scout and he was hot on getting the Seaman badge (or something close) to seal the deal.

Well he got sick, he raise hell, puking all over the fucking boat. I pulled into Morro bay and put him ashore. Had to hang around, waiting for his dad to come get his arse. It's probably good I didn't have a plank.

To be fair, it was rough as hell going around big Sur, and my son was no help at all. He got a bit sick and went to rail
to show them how to purge. He puke in his mouth then squeezed it out between his teeth, squirting it over the side. He had both his buddies puking right then and there! But the Eagle never let up, he wanted off the ship!

The surfers around there are real territorial...that's the toughest surfing in the country...big breakers, lots of reefs and rocks. My oldest son has been trying to surf there for years and they won't let him in their private club..he lives near there
