i wish the sixers would have taken williams and made some moves in the offseason. i dont think theres a chance he'll get rookie of the year with a backcourt of kidd, and carter. theres just not enough pt to go around with two stars starting.

From what I've been reading, it sounds like Richard Jefferson is going to play a lot of PF this season for the Nets. He bulked up a lot in the offseason, and the Nets have found success with small ball.

I'd imagine Jason Kidd plays SG in this scenario, because he can match up defensively against SGs.

Yea, that makes sense. It would be a stretch for him to guard point guards and shooting guards. Do you really expect him to guard people like Gerald Wallace, a small forward, and players like Kevin Garnett who is 7'0 and other PF's?

A Williams/Kidd backourt could work. This would give Kidd a bit of a rest from bringing up the ball while he's on the floor. Kidd's presence on the court alone is enough to give the Nets a boost. Down the stretch, Kidd would take over and Williams would slip to 2 at the offensive end.

whatever way they do it, they NEED to get this Williams kid 30mpg.

...and PF for obvious reasons. SF in most cases, but I wouldn't have Kidd guarding Rashard Lewis or something.
