What about Vanterpool? Too close to home?

I like Billups as a GM candidate.

And u know if Billups fires Stotts Dame will be ok with it since he has a relationship with Billups and will probably trust him. Then again maybe he trusts Neil too.
It’s a fucking business, we need to stop worrying about Dame. He knows changes need to be made. We got swept while being a pretty healthy team for the most part. If he wants to leave because we fired a coach that is responsible for 10 straight playoffs, so be it.

I get your point, but he’s our franchise player. Having a relationship with him isn’t a bad thing.

I do think these guys have gotten too comfortable in their environment though. I commented on it last year before we traded Plumlee. As soon as we shook things up we started winning. Having your players on edge isn’t the worst thing.

I get you, Dame is my favorite player ever. He should be talked to before every major move BUT his opinion shouldn’t carry weight in making roster/coaching decisions.

I like Wright, don’t know if this is the right time to go for him. I don’t think he leaves Nova for a few years.
It doesn't hurt to try, and if we offer him enough, he might take it. I feel like it'd be the right time for him. Two championships in 3 years, has multiple players leaving for the draft.. Portland would be a great job to take with a wealthy owner willing to pay him.

My biggest fear is he pans out like a Billy Donovan

I want Becky Hammond or Mike Budenholzer for coach. But, we need a new GM too, and a new GM is going to want to select his own coach.
Do people want Becky Hammond because she's a female? She did well in SL but how do we know anything about how she would be as a coach?

Would love to bring her in as a head assistant to Budenholzer. That'd be awesome.

Mainly from her Pops pedigree. But also how she has coached in SL situations and also from the way I have heard Pops talk about her basketball mind. He is a huge fan.

Yes Neil needs to go as well. He and his inability to do the job is holding this roster and team hostage. He’s been here 6 years too long. If he was going to show us something dazzling he would have done it by now.

He maybe a problem but I wouldn’t fire the coach.

We don't need to baby Dame.

If his loyalty is dependent upon us babying him and catering EVERYTHING to him, then he can leave. I don't think it is, so make the best decision for the organization, which is firing Terry and Neil.

Just recorded a podcast that will be up later but my candidates I want to interview are (in no order):
- Jay Wright
- Becky Hammon
- Mike Budenholzer
- David Fizdale

Who are you top 3 candidates? As for ‘need NBA experience’, that’s why people missed out on Brad Stevens!

I like Fizdale, Jay Wright, Stackhouse.
