Also in the article...
Forward Nicolas Batum also is ailing after spraining his left ankle in the Blazers' loss at Atlanta on Saturday. Batum was at practice Monday, but McMillan said he walked through much of it. However, the coach said he believes both his ailing starters will play Tuesday.

“I expect both guys to be ready to go,” McMillan said.

Oh wait, this isn't a real article. It's only a gag. What gave it away was this -
A big topic of discussion was the Blazers’ lackluster offense. McMillan said a big issue is that the Blazers have settled into walking the ball up the floor and running their offensive sets.

We’re putting a lot of pressure on our offense to have to execute every possession as opposed to looking to push the ball and looking to give yourself an opportunity early,” McMillan said. “When you don’t have that, then you go to sets. Right now, we are just coming down, set after set after set.

Everyone knows Nateball is all about slowing things down and not pushing the ball.

at this point of the season, everyones a little banged up, i wouldnt worry too much about this specifically, there are bigger issues, such as wheres my keys, they were just right here

It's this weird disconnect that I never understood. Obviously, our offensive statistics and pace show that we're a slow it down, non-fast break, basic offensive sets kind of team.

But whenever you interview Nate, he always talks about running, fast breaks, movement, cutters, etc etc. Never once has he been like, "yep, my style is conservative and I'm damn proud of it. that's what we do."

Never. He always makes it seem like he's secretly Mike D'Antoni in the huddles, but his team won't listen to him.

I know for a while we speculated that it was B-Roy's fault, but now he's in and out of the lineup... and we're still slow. It's weird and I have no idea how to explain it. I've never heard a coach preach such an opposite message from how his team plays.

well, i think nate is about ball security/ no turnovers, but also enjoys easy baskets on the break, pretty simple, but sometimes its hard to have it both ways, like at an orgy

I've seen Nate wave his arms many times this season to get the team to move the ball upcourt more quickly. The players just don't do it.

Then that's a sign of bad coaching. If your team doesn't do what you tell them to, why should you be continuing to coach them?

Since Camby came back he's only averaging about 20 MPG in 7 games. Never played more than 23 minutes. He's still extremely effective out there--right around 10 boards and 1.5 blocks in that time is great for that amount of time. But before he went out he was out there 36 minutes a night.

That our only true center has seen his minutes drop by ~45% is probably the most under-reported current story on the Blazers.
