A highly seeded player and another well-known one are headed home early from the Winston-Salem Open.
Italy's Andreas Seppi, the second seed, was upset Tuesday night in the second round after American Mardy Fish retired because of heat stroke.
Seppi, who was No. 23 in the ATP world rankings, was beaten by American qualifier Steve Johnson 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-5.
