I'm just taking a really long break ... I still browse here a time or two a week, but I'm not posting because mainly I'm just tired of what this place has turned into and kind of tired of forums in general. (Shit, maybe it's always been this way and it's just me? Who knows?) Anyway, I'm posting now because I happened to cruise by and saw my name in a thread so I figured I'd address the OP's question.

But in a nutshell, people don't seem to really want to talk hoops much anymore and when people do talk hoops it inevitably turns into some kind of personalized thing when disagreements exist -- and that's pretty fucking boring.

As for a migration, I have no idea; I'm not posting anywhere these days.

Because some people, like MIXUM and yourself, don't run for their mommy (Mods) when insulted, and are skilled enough posters to present their view and support it.

Because other people are un-American cowards, too ill-equipped in the wit department to battle anyone in a war of words, can't stand the heat but won't leave the kitchen.

Has a Blazer-Homer ever been banned?

Except for one or two threads, that didn't start out as basketball threads in the first place, everything has stayed refreshingly on subject lately.

That's not really true. Mixum would PM me lots of times when people insulted him. I would clean up the insults and then I would get PMs from pissed off people wondering why I was taking Mixum's side in the arguments.
 
Kingspeed, Mediocre Man and Maris61 I do take your posts and concerns very seriously. Right now Brian is in Korea so his time has been limited and he can't post here much. Ed O hasn't been around so with the exception of global mods like MGB and Wheels coming in and helping out I've been the only Blazer mod since Nik and Nate stepped down. I've asked Denny if we can elect 1 or 2 more mods soon. Until then we're just going to have to do the best we can.

I've been around. I was gone for, like, five days but that's all.

SPD, you've been doing a great job of generating discussion, etc., but there's not really been much reason to add moderators since there have only been a couple of hundred posts a day lately.

I've always been a balanced guy... some basketball.... some OT.... some bitching. I find that balance brings happiness. You know? 33% in every facet of my forum energy. You on the other hand spend maybe 50% whining in the main forum, 30% in OT, and maybe 20% of actual basketball talk. You need to find balance my son.
