ive been on this board, and in each post that involved new coaches, mark jackson was my answer. hes good. but he lacks coaching experience. so he might not be successful

I think he will, every team that acquired him got better w/ him as a PG, he's been around, knows what the star player, the scrub player and the in between player can do, he would be be a not only good but a very very good coach in the NBA. He also has recieved respect everywhere he's been.

Because, the story goes, Dolan and his minions felt that if the Nets made a splashy trade, it would grab the headlines in the NY basketball market and make it harder for the miserable Knicks to compete for fans.

And the gossipy theory makes at least as much sense as anything else the Knicks have done all year.</div>

I don't get this. I thought the Knicks hated Mark? I could've sworn reading something saying the Knicks dissed on Mark a few times, because of his affiliation with the Nets & YES.

Really now. I was under the impression that Walsh would do the GM duties, while Isiah would simply step down as president and stick to coaching.

Oh well, if Mark or Scott end up getting the job, I wouldn't be too worried.
