....Memphis on April 7th.

I have been e-mailing back and forth with one of my Blazer connections and it appears that Martell could be a bit closer to a return than many had thought he would be at the point. So close, that Nate may actually bring him in for a few minutes against probably the Grizzlies.

While the Blazers aren't saying as much, this is one of the primary reasons Martell has joined the team on this upcoming road trip. In fact, in the Blazers' minds, it will be better to bring Martell back on the road, as opposed to home. Less distractions that way.

This is way cool! Can you imagine if Martell is primed and ready by playoff time?!

I'm not sure what his role would be at this point in the season. There really aren't any minutes for him. What do you think?

Well, as an example, what if Rudy gets hurt again?

Well we wouldn't see any zone against the second team like we did with Dallas. Rudy, Martel, and Travis, (With Greg and Sergio) thats a good Zone buster.

Next time I see you, we have a beer on this one. Fair enough?

OK, OK...I owe you a beer. ;)

Exactamundo.

Who knows how long Rudy will be out with his back spasms, and as much as I love to see Nicolas on the court more, having a 2/3 in Martell who can hit an outside shot and maybe play a little defense from the backup shooting guard spot would be pretty helpful.

Now the question remains of how effective can Martell be after missing 6 months of action when he's never been all that consistent in his first 3 years with the team?

Hopefully we jump on Memphis early and Martell can get in his groove without there being too much on the line.

Please see above. My attempts at an AF joke did not go undiscovered. :dunno:

Bynum dead and Webster might play...these April Fools jokes are awesome...just awesome :sigh:

I was watching Martell shoot around before the game yesterday and he looked very good. He was hitting everything in site.

Hey, at least mine had a degree of plausibility to it. :fishing:

All the people who don't want us to advance to the second round - because that would violate the timetable - will be ecstatic.

 Edit: Oh snap, you got me!

Damn you, ABM. Can someone help me getting the hook out of my cheek?

Is that little cat giving Blaze a blow job?

The question still remains.. what do we do with Webster when he returns? And with Rudy, Blake, Roy, and Travis, we have plenty of three point shooters.
