Bogut is the most mature out of them and he is the player of the year. We probably wont get him though. I wish we could package all of our picks and get him.</div>

Bogut is getting overrated. He isnt that much better than Splitter or Marvin Williams and Martynas will almost certainly be better. Packaging all of our picks for him would be silly.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting mrj18:</div><div class="quote_post">But McGrady is in the same league as Kobe and some even consider him better. McGrady is a very good baller and a 2 time scoring champ. Swingmen are everywhere, but not swingmen turning out to be like McGrady. We can get a more than solid big man in the draft with S.A.'s pick or we can package them together with our second rounder and maybe get a 24th pick in the dratf and pick up a sleeper.

If we add to our salary in a sign-and-trade to a good young player
, I wouldn't mind that. If we can use them in the draft I definitely wouldn't mind!</div>

We dont need Green! We need a good big man. It's not about who's more talented or who will be a better player we need a good big man out of necessity. There just arent alot of quality big men in the league we cant pass up on a chance to grab one. We have a much better chance of finding a good swingman further down the draft than finding a good big man. Mikael Gelabale for example. And adding salary is just a bad idea anyway you look at it even if we do get a solid big man. If we keep adding salary we're going to have serious issues when we have to resign Sweetney and Ariza and whoever we draft.

Are you serious? I haven't seen him play too much, but if that's the case, you're right.

But Green is talented. I know, but a nice foundation with Green, Crawford, Sweetney and Ariza is nice. Greens upside is higher than Splitter's uppside and if he does turn out to be the next McGrady or better, I think we'll be kicking ourselves for not drafting him. Can we do the opposite and get a solid big man with our second first rounder? Who do you think Splitter will turn out to be and what kind of numbers do you see? If they're good, then maybe we can reconsider, but this Green guy is very good.

No Way!!

Bogut is certainly not overrated. He was the best player is college hoops this year and Martynas can only hope to be as good as him. He is much better than splitter and Marvin Williams is a SF not a C so he doesnt even apply to the situation of us needing a Center.

Bogut was the best player in college basketball...so what? Splitter and Martynas play against full grown men. They play against the best players the world has to offer outside of the NBA and that includes college basketball. Splitter is a much better defender than Bogut in every aspect of defense, at the very least as good of a rebounder maybe even potentially better and he does most of his damage in the paint whereas Bogut likes to stray out on the perimeter. Bogut is more versatile than Splitter but that doesnt make him alot better than Splitter.

As for Martynas...he has the most potential out of everyone in the draft. The kid is probably going to be the only dominant center in the league besides Yao in a few years. Better rebounder, better defender, better post up game, nearly as good at passing. Martynas if he continues to play and learn and develop under Sabonis will undoubtedly be better than Bogut without question. With that being said, I still want Bogut but giving up all of our picks for him in a deep draft like this? Bad idea.

This sites mock draft has us taking high-risk, high-reward Taft? What do you guys think? Take a chance?
